almost finished it, it has till now 4-5 "interactive cutscenes" aka small passages where you just need to run and jump. biggest problem of the game its too easy (even with a gamepad), otherwise its great and its fun to explore the levels and tombs (though they are too easy too, if you are not dumb as fuck you wont need long to figure out what to do)

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Don't understand the hate for him, but he is right. This game is merely an interactive cutscene. I understand how console players were jizzing all over this thing, but it's barely a game.

he must be a retard or didnt played the whole game; there are 2 big areas where you can explore and free roam for many hours

There are many valid criticisms you can make about this game but to say it's just a big cutscene is dumb, no actually, that's a flat out lie.

People saying it's a big linear cutscene never played the game for more than 30 minutes.
Instead they prefer to reflect the experience they had during this time to the rest of the game.
Just ignore those trolls. Smile
Though it seems, mostly the same person is trolling in this thread. He even called me unemployed, for finishing the game after one week. Laughing
Also scanning the thread for a possible troll attempt all the way back to 10 days ago, not bad!

Well it's at least improved over the previous game where there were huge sections where you had to run/climb/jump as setpieces around you crumbled to nothingness with huge explosions and fire everywhere. Razz

There's some in this game too of course but usually they are shorter in length.
(Which also serves to make them seem less ridiculous, a storm weathered island that's been around for 1000+ years but when Lara arrives everything that's stood until then just crumbles to nothingness.)

(Then again she's a bit like those 18th Century or so "archeologists" who tore down the ancient cultural structures and shipped all valuables home and melted them down into gold and such. Razz )
(There's like sixty-plus ancient valuable artifacts in the game that she just pawns off I'd assume once she's back in London.)

just finished it 88% in 19hrs, did a lot of exploring. great game, yes not really challenging but thats what we get in this generation... tomb raider basicly got uncharted, but its still nice to play.

might collect the missing stuff when the dx12 patch is out and the dlc is cheap

and why should be the ending secret?

but

[02-19-2016] PC Patch notes for patch 1.0.623.2 (Patch #3)
We have just released the third PC patch for Rise of the Tomb Raider, build 1.0.623.2. This is a somewhat smaller patch fixing some issues that have been reported by our players. We expect some larger updates for the next patch!

This patch will be applied by Steam automatically when you next start the game. If your game does not update, please restart the Steam client. If you are using the game on the Window Store, we are still working to get the previous update with you as soon as possible, and to have this one follow soon after. We will update this thread when the Windows Store patches are live.

Added new option to disable the camera automatically centering behind the player when strafing.
Fixed problems where animals may not appear on a 2nd play-through of the game.
Fixed a problem where occasionally the door to the Voice of God tomb is closed and cannot be opened.
Fixed a problem causing the game to not start on machines with 32 or more hardware threads.
Fixed some foliage flickering when Dynamic Foliage is set to High while the game is running 30fps or lower.
Fixed artifacts when SSAO/HBAO+ was enabled in combination with SSAA.
A variety of other smaller optimizations, bug-fixes, and tweaks.

While we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone, if you do have trouble with this patch and prefer to stay on the old version we made a Beta available on Steam, Build 615.5, that can be used to switch back to the previous version.

We will keep monitoring for feedback and will release further patches as it seems required. We always welcome your feedback!

Place the files in a folder named "Rise of the Tomb Raider" and then install the game, Steam will begin downloading but should find the existing data and will validate that and then download any missing content such as DLC or updates. Smile
(During install it'll show a message with something like "Discovering existing files for..")

After the steam verification , my game folder is about 800 mb ( vs 19 gb initially) , so it will download the rest Sad

don't know where the problem comes from

If it kept some files then the others must have somehow failed validation, though the patch files are separate from the original files besides the exe and one .dll so that shouldn't be possible either, could just be one of the many Steam glitches unfortunately.

The game doesn't represent the current age we are living on and is clearly racist.

Like my fellow actors in the movie bizz, i hereby demand that Lara Croft move with the times and now its char be an intelligent and independent hip-hop afro-american sista bitch-raider.

Thank you.

After validation all valid files are moved to the downloads folder until the download is complete. All files still in the game folder are not used I believe.
