This whole thing is very similar to what is happening at my job, there everyone got perma banned. We got a new mod and confusion formed.
The solution here is what my coworkers should have done. Talk to and show respect for your new leader,you don't even have to like them you make them think you do. Listen to them do as they say. Work like that for a while and you can then slowly get things back the way you like it. But if your fight it and show that there is no way you will change or respect your new leader, belive me, You will lose.
