@paxsali: tbh i prefer for normal racing games 180° (cause im used to it since 16 years). for rally games 900deg is way better (though that special liking is sometimes a bit strange for driving real cars Very Happy)

@andrea: hopefully

@paxsali It's not confirmed from microsoft afaik (I doubt they would willingly mention it in a press release) but there's multiple articles saying that wheel support won't be. I find these guys are usually accurate for sim news.

How about you go and show me an example of a >180deg input video featuring Forza 3 or 4?

And while you're at it... Forza 5 and 6, cause I wanna know if it got better.

I had got all FM games and both X360 wheels (initially the ugly official one, then Fanatec) and they worked as designed but too many years are passed since then to remember how to configure them, sorry.
What I remember is that it wasn't easy because you had to set the correct parameters both in-game and in the steering wheel internal software (for Fanatec).
Also some older games that do not support the clutch and the 900° of Fanatec wheel (for example Race Pro and TDU) but no problems up to 270°.

ISR have some good videos about steering wheels & consoles: https://www.youtube.com/user/simracingtonight/videos

But there were, the games recognized the wheel (sometimes the Fanatec as the official one) and offered additional settings, I'm 110% sure, I got it working.
Or I wouldn't spend €550 for the entire Fanatec set.

BTW FM 5 & 6 joypad support is awful, you can't configure the steering wheel speed sensitivity and the default setting is way too high: basically from a simracer point of view they are unplayable.

There were five steering wheels officially supported by Microsoft:
- Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel
- Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S
- Fanatec Porsche 911 GT2
- Fanatec CSR
- Fanatec CSR Elite

However it appears that you have completely misunderstood what I wrote but since we are completely off topic I don't insist.

Yes, my little pedantic friend.

Since nobody here seems to own an Xbox One, who even cares and who really knows about Forza 5 & 6?

The point is:
- I have had experience with previous Forzas (3+4) and I'm a fan of the series
- Forza is coming to PC now
- I must warn some potentially interested users with no experience of false expectations regarding input controls and that's what I did

Fuck me, right?

i proudly own a xbox one forza 6 and forza horizon 2 installed.

It's pretty sad to be smacked down by pax with actual facts (since 9/10 times he's just trolling).

I simply don't have time to invest searching on the net for futile proves of something that I can't prove any more (since I sold my Fanatec wheel).

What's sad is that trying to smack me down he misunderstood most of what I wrote, but that probably normal since he has anger problems: anger spoke for him. Razz

BTW He shouldn't judge a game series if he didn't play the latest three episodes.
However I agree, FM isn't a simulator, like no other game on console: real simulators are only on PC.

"Fun" lol wut

Always the same argument. What the fuck is fun? Being able to drive like a retard and still win races? Doesn't sound "fun" to me.
