Seeing there are loading times when switching to battle... Are the battle-maps pre-made static maps which would start to repeat themselves after a few fights? Or dynamically created based on location on the world map, like in the total war games?

They were procedural that takes the over-map location into account in 1, so I expect the same in 2.
God fucking dammit... I want this now... the wait is slowly starting to annoy and killing me.
Yup I know the feeling
If anything, they've confirmed 2016 at the PCDragonage94 weekender..it's something.
Personally I'm glad to see that they embraced the trusty "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" mentality, by working mainly on the environments (much more alive now), models and animations. No awesome buttons spotted so far
This is the same link as Szioul but it starts from where the game presentation begins.
I am also excited for this game but somehow I never finished any of the previous M&B's. Have probably ~150 hours in With Fire and Sword and ~100 in Warband and ~20 in the original but can't get myself to finish them Maybe this time it will be different.
EDIT: Okay, cant put the exact time here... Well, it starts from 3:04:00
So far this seems to be a very graphically enhanced version of M&B. My biggest hope is that the modding system is still as open as possible.
M&B would have been nowhere near as successful without the modding capability.
The map editor at least is massively improved now, which means adding new scenes via mods will be greatly simplified.
The city we saw in the PCG presentation looked really good, too - the castle sitting on the hilltop overseeing the rest of the settlement was badass, vertical element was largely missing from the earlier games. Can't wait to see how the sieges will play out in sprawling towns such as that now.
Modding has been a part of Mount & Blade 2 since the start of development
Quote:
“So in Warband we had mod support as well, which was quite restricted to the basic things we had because we were a very small team before,” says Korneel Guns, a programmer on the team. “But even there people were able to make very, very cool mods, from Star Wars to Game of Thrones to Lord of the Rings - anything you could imagine.
“Now with Bannerlord we’ve put mods at the front of our development since the start. We have made our own engine and will release our entire engine to the modders, along with the source code of the game. So they will be able to make whatever they want with the game.”
This announcement came at E3, and is exactly what you want to hear as a fan of the series. It’s such an open game with so many variables that modding it is an immediate want of anyone that plays it. Giving out the source code means folks will be creating some properly incredible stuff with it too - though it may take some time.
Wow, offering up the source for their brand new in-house engine is pretty damn cool of them. I only ever saw the original from afar, but I've been watching this one with interest. I'm keen to see how it turns out.
