just use the ms toolkit to activate a clean install of w10 th2 1511 or some of scamwalds mak keys if they still work
download the image on your windows 7 with the mediacreation tool from ms, should work fine even with your not quite legal activated copy
btw. our (mine) beloved superior mobile operation system got updated to .122 as well in the insider program via release preview and slowring (fast ring is still only for redstone builds on lumia x50 devices)

ah cmon bro, i cant link anything here. just head over to the my digitallife forums and get their ms toolkit, one click activation for any windows version
th2 1511 is the latest available version of 10 (the cumulative updates dont count in there) which will be automaticly downloaded with the mediacreationtool

Thanks !
How does that ms toolkit works tho? Is it spoofing a key or stopping the counter?
th2 1511 will be downloaded as iso through ms mediacreation tool?
ok.

kms service, so make the folder C:\windows\autokms as an exception for the defender (or any other av solutions). just start it as admin, click the windows logo -> activation -> hit ez-activator (and if the firewall pops up allow that). done
win10 will be downloaded as iso or directly put onto a usb stick. just choose prepare data for another computer instead of upgrading this devices when launching that tool. will ask if iso image or burned to dvd or copy to usb stick

oehm .71 is very outdated. think .102 or so was the one before 122. all official updates. dunno whats wrong on your side, just use scaramongas link to the lastet kb and everything should be fine | Says that x64 MSU is not applicable to my system. What the hell? I have Win10 Pro (upgraded from HOME).
Edit: ok now @ .104.. running Version 1511 Build 10586.104.. now how to .122? Still those links tell me the update ain't applicable.
Edit #2: nevermind... defers updates was enabled. Disabled it and now @ .122.

So far .122 is ok.. not much of anything different. USB3.1/TB3 Type-C SuperPort still not working correctly with USB3.1 devices connected with USB3.1 cables (causes them to shutdown when you copy from them.. grrr). Board Vendor Bios or Port Drivers or USB 3.1 device vendor drivers might still be immature. Then again.. its facking March 2016 now (8+ months later since Win10 came out)..

So I did a clean install as Janz instructed and activated no problem with ms toolkit thingy.
And I am surprised how much better it is than when it came out ! You can even change theme color to others than white and taskbar can be transprent. And its quite faster than w7. I really like it.
Any guides or tips how to configure it?
I only had to instal intel chipset and amd drivers. Everything else was already set.
Of course I opted out of everything during installation and unninstalled all apps that could be unninstalled.
I also turned of fast boot.
Anything else?

I have 2 questions after installing win10 on my gfs lenovo g510 laptop.
How to enable bluetooth? All drivers installed themselves with updates. Everything is installed in device manager. Yet i cant find bt. Function keys work but the one responsible for switching radios, dont do anything.
I cant install bt from lenovo site as it says no device. How the heck to turn it on.
Another question - how the heck to isodemo office? She just needs office, excel and powerpoint. Last time ive isodemoed office was 2003 version. Torrent it or is there official download an use mstoolkit?
Also, downloading language packs dont work. It fails to install. Guess i have to create other image with creation tool.

install the hotkey drivers from lenovo, if there is not standalone driver package called hotkey/function key software whatever it may be included in the acpi/power management/advanced whatever driver.
if its activated there should be a bluetooth menu in ->start -> settings -> network & internet
its hidden if no bt device is attached thouch
about office -> just get a 2016 volume license image and activate it with the toolkit
language packs -> dunno about it, maybe home version doesnt support them? but then it wouldnt show them... deactivated the windows firewall or other settings? windows update itself working fine? would be better to get an image with the language integrated (otherwise every menu before loading the login screen (i.e. f8 service menu etc) wont be in that language you installed afterwards

Thanks. I just created polish languiage usb with media cretion tool and installed that.
As for the bluetooth. Turns out I needed to install lenovo drivers before windows installed it's own for power management.
And as for the office. I am still looking for it. Dont seem to be any normal office release available from microsoft site like windows 10 is.
Guess isodemo is the way

Janz wrote: | ie is dead, who uses that piece of shit anyway?
and why ?
same as win7 -> ms wants to get rid of it as soon as possible! |
Because advertisements should NEVER be messed with security updates. I'm sure majority of Win 7 users got it - MS wants them to upgrade to Win 10 no matter what. I'm using Win 10 myself and I just don't like that approach where someone else is making a decision what's the best for me and my usage. As an IT specialist myself I can definitely see tons of situations where OS upgrades are not as simple as they might look. Many companies are using customized software which are sometimes so crap that even wrong version of Java can break them.
To me MS should advertise Win 10 as much as they want and really try to make people to consider the upgrades but this should not be 'a cat and mouse' game where sysadmins need constantly to block KB patches just to save themselves from hell.
ps. IE is far from dead. Just ask some enterprise users and admins.

Yes. That is the reason why we can still see machines running OSes like Win NT, XP and sometimes even 3.1x.
At the top of that in some cases software developer hasn't been existing for years.

Inept admins and no sympathy for the enterprise refusing to fix archaic software. MS do what MS want because they know their customer base refuses to bother with anything else, expect more and more anti-consumer practice because the userbase will keep paying for it regardless.
Honestly how does Microsoft fuck up the search function in every iteration of windows? even in Win10:
Hit start and type "programs" (for programs and features) = nothing..
okay fine..
click start, click settings (Oh new UI! every iteration! guess i'll relearn the same shit over and over again), hmm no programs > i'll search the "Find a Setting" box = "no results for programs" ?! Gee whiz Windows 10 fuck yeah.
I literally do this now: Winkey+R, i type "control panel" into "Open" then programs = Finally!
In OSX, command + space + "Coffee" shows me every application, every file, thesaurus, dictionary meanings and maps with reviews of the closest coffee shops. Sorry to say but as a MCSE/MCITP to find issues like that show how bad an OS it is. How does a normal person deal with that stuff? Not to mention drivers, managing printer stacks (Which most MS sysadmins can't manage properly). Reboots to make changes completely unacceptable in any business context, I'm so glad i left that world behind.
