What I dont get is why they take the franchise away from the target audience that made the franchise popular to begin with. It just doesnt make sense. Confused

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

They're trying to double dip. Trying to appeal to the fans of the original movies with name, gadgets and general setting, and then putting a new, 'edgy' female cast that ought to attract new moviegoers.

The original was a light hearted action movie with jokes and even horror elements. And his new one is just a comedy with some lame-ass jokes for 12 year olds.

Also, lol at the stereotypical lesbo character and of course the big black woman character, what an oaf. Oooh some SJW/feminists must be pissed Laughing

It will flop, that's for sure, I just want it to flop spectacularly so that maybe the big publishers get the fucking memo, like what happened with Deadpool being R and unapologetic. Money is the only thing they understand, not ... reviews or opinions.

IMDB has the budget as Budget: $154,000,000 (estimated)
Is that true, seems way too high, I hope it is true Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I still dont get why the female Egon looks, acts, and dresses like the one from the crappy cartoon version. And not the movie.
Sad

The other one is the reason why they had to rename it to 'The real Ghostbusters'

The Ghost Busters was a 70's show but the movie Ghostbusters (think they even had to buy the name for it) kind of made it popular again. So the company from The Ghost Busters made that cartoon and the other had to rename themselves to: The Real Ghostbusters

There's also another one: Extreme Ghostbusters. That one is targeted to an older group than The Real Ghostbusters was.

We got that abomination on our tvs back then. Why do you think they called the other well-known one The "Real" Ghostbusters? Razz

BTW that cartoon was based on this "gem" from the 70's Troll Face

....53 seconds.
REALLY? they had to add in the ONE black female character needs to point out shes black and a woman and thinks she was discriminated for it in a 'cheeky' scene?
Who went "You know what ghostbusters needs? A scene where race and gender biased are pointed out in a scene with the black woman!"
