It's not wide open, he only has public keys not private keys.
So you cannot sign executables and run exploits.
Therefore you need an entry point to write into the kernel and disable signature check (and thus the need for private keys).
So far most exploits use WebKit as an entry point.
And Nintendo can easily update WebKit and resecure their console.
And they most likely will, I doubt obfuscation will do shit.
That being said I think he is trying to obfuscate his IOSU exploit l, since WebKit exploits are all public anyway.
So I think he is trying to obfuscate his code that attacks the IOSU kernel.
For example on the 3DS, Nintendo fixed kernel exploits on 9.2.0+ by making the kernel constantly check for modifications on the fly.
Sony did the same with FW 3.55 because of 3.41 Jailbreak.
Luckily for us, Nintendo failed doing so properly on 3ds which is why it's completely hacked once again....

lol, I can't tell who is who over at GBATemp, 99% of the users sound like assholes, but apparently this massive delay in release from Hykem is that his "obfuscation" of his code is to prevent anyone from using it for piracy...

I think he is not sure about the Wii U because he is pressured by others... Hopefully he'll change his mind.

Nintendo are really screwing up with getting games for the Wii U, aren't they ... This console has so much potential thanks to the gamepad but it's all wasted if they just do standard ports or games that treat it like a regular system. Even Minecraft doesn't use the gamepad which seems insane.

cyclonefr- Know anything about these supposed exploits not being released due to the original coders being arrested? GBA forums are all up in speculation about how he was busted by fbi, dead, alien abduction, etc. Just wondering if you knew anything about the 5.5 exploit that was supposed to be released around christmas and still hasn't been.. Thanks

Crap, I hope some exploit comes out soon -.-. Sucks tho and cba to buy any new games for it bought enough games on this dead system anyway. And with the NX I won't bother anytime soon.

A dump is circulating over the net, but it takes 10 min to load on Loadiine because the games has 20K files...
I suggest to try it if you get the ISODEMO rather than relying on reviews
