Finally got it working.
All you have to do is:
1. Install POP.
2. Install Daemon tools 4
3. Shut down the computer.
4. PHISICALLY rip the cables, of your cd / dvd off (power and ide)
5. Turn On the PC.
6. Mount Image in Dtools...
7. PLAY

well, it's not working for me sadly
will have to stick with unplugging my drives... the game is great, and i don't really need them often, so i can live with that
To deactivate the CD-Rom, just select the StarForce Copy Protection in the Box and press "CD8 deaktivieren" an to activate it again "CD8 aktivieren".. maybe it works for you

Ok, too all those having problems, try this
1. Mount in DT4 (or 3.47) and Install
2. Unplugg Ide cables
-----
This step may not be needed, skip to 4 if its not and ur sure
3.Run SFcure (dos version - !start.bat)
-----
4. Run Starforce Nightmare and click the options in this order -> Disable Node -> Disable CD -> Disable Node
5. Play Game.
Some SF games for some reason, still require you to disable your cd drive and node even tho the IDE cables are unplugged, I dunno why.
This method has worked for me since I tried it with X3: Reunion - compliments of Baleur btw

you could try writting in proper english...
if you dont have DT4 installed do that after its installed shutdown the PC remove the power cables from you cd-roms (all of them) and remove the ribon wire ( i had to) start the PC mount game run game. if that doesnt work you will have to wait for a fixed .exe

I tried everythign on my gaming laptop (HP ZD8000 3.4GHz 2GB 256MB X600) and couldn't get it to work. So then I tried to install it on my Toshiba TabletPC and it worked right away. I mounted it on DT4, soft-disable of the DVD drive, installed, reboot, and it worked fine.

here is how I got it to work
1. Uninstall the game
2. Run the exe from the link above to remove starforce drivers. It will ask you to restart. Do so
3. Install the game
4. launch the game
5. when it asks you to restart, click no. and SHUTDOWN your computer manually.
6. then its off unhook for your cables for your ide cd/dvd-rom drive.
7. Start your computer up
8. launch the game
9. enter the cd key
10. Play game
got it from

Ok, for all you that the computer reboots in the starforce CD Check:
it seems it happens to anyone who haves NF3/4 Mobo with sata or raid HDs
i saw a thread in DT forum that stated that DT4 dont work well with NF3/4 with sata or raid installed (i mean your HD are configured as Raid).
to work around this problem, you can mount the image on alcohol and it works.
now im stuck, starforce states that my CD key is not good, even though i use the one from the nfo.
this problems happens to me also on Kingkong.
ive tried somthing, ive mounted the image from a mapped drive on the network with DT4 (my second computer) and it finaly works.
i think that starforce dont like nf3/4 sata raids HD at all.
you can also move the image to a non raid or sata drive and i think it will work, as i saw on some posts.
try it and let me know.

After it started working on my TabletPC, I using the software to remove the starforce drivers from my other laptop (ZD8000). I ejected the dvd-drive, mounted, installed, rebooted, and now it works fine. If only i wasn't scared of heights i would like this game better.

i have a big problem here. I used SFNightmare to disable CD and Node, that didnt work.
Next time when i switch on my PC, it switches off straight away...i have to run it in safe mode to start up.
I cant do system restore, that always fails, and using SFNightmare to re enable CD and node do not work either.
Please help, im running Windows XP SP2.

popeofdope, you dont need sfnightmare. You just need to remove the ide cables of your real drives. Then mount the image in dt4 and play the game.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

I cant exactly understand what you want to ask but I'll give it a shot. You cant make a copy of it because as of today it is not possible to make a 1:1 copy of starforce 3.5.0.0 and above games. You have to remove the ide cables because they are physical drives and need to be disconnected so that starforce doesnt force you to put the cd there.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Look, i have an nforce3 mobo, the DT4 was rebooting my pc, so i tried with alcohol instead with SFN with the CD disable and node disable and is finally working, so ppl if you have problem with the rebooting thing just try with the alcohol, just my two cents...

i have a strange problem as well. PoP is working like a charm. I've disconnected my DVD burner and DVD drive en installed the game with DT4.
Now when I want to burn something and I reconnect my drives they are not detected by windows. I've checked the BIOS and they are detected. Is this a known problem with starforce.
My specs are:
Windows XP SP2
P4@2.4 Ghz
2048 MB mem
Asus P4B533 mainboard
Plextor PX-750A DVD burner
Plextor PX-130A DVD rom
I really don't hop that starforce fucked up my windows installation or this suppose to happen and will my drive reappear when I deinstall PoP
THX in advance
