Almost up to 60 hours now and only just finished the last main story mission and hit level 30. So much more to explore and not touched the DZ yet. Guess you just need a certain mindset to enjoy games like this, but I love it.
I'm sure it will start to get old once i've repeated the same missions countless times, and the DZ mechanics are currently rather pointless, to me it's a great base for the expansions they have planned.
Can't help but feeling most of the detractors were just looking for a completely different game because of the setting/Tom Clancy namedrop. For now I'll carry on enjoying it whilst countless other people scratch their heads wondering why other people like it so much.
As we continue to grow our commitment to the Hitman game franchise, it’s with tremendous excitement that we can announce another great addition to the Io-Interactive family. Ryan Barnard comes to us after having recently finished his work on Massive Entertainment’s “The Division” and will join the Io-Interactive in the newly created role of Gameplay Director.
Ryan will focus on expanding on the near-endless possibilities of gameplay that a game like HITMAN possesses. This means heading up the future efforts of three of our very core teams – gameplay, online and world – which will be no small task. Ryan’s contributions to game design over the years show he’s the ideal person to spearhead the coming efforts. We are very happy to add his talent to the pool of great people working at IOI.
Ryan joins a studio team of 170 people from around 25 different countries who are collectively working on taking HITMAN into a new era of digital-first AAA games.
In 4h the Phoenix Gear and Advanced Weapons vendor will finally get a new loadout.
The Phoenix vendor got two new shitty shotguns. But the blueprints are exactly the same.
What a fail.
The last days i was doing challenge missions to farm a bit of Phoenix Coins to afford some sexy new things from the vendor today. That was my personal endgame mission.
Well, thanks to that shit i will take a break from the game too for now.

Haha Bob me and Fubar also saw the restock being pretty shitty today, one daily mission only and the vendors barely changed (btw. the Liberator was bumped up 176->181 with this, suckers!)
Advanced Vendor only changed the purple items, HE are the same
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Opinions as always. He also gave Batman the 6/10 and Dying Light a 7/10, but the most disqualifying one was Titanfall with 7/10, Hitman Absolution 7/10.
Funny sidenote, gave Borderlands 2 a 9/10 and Division is pretty much very similar in terms of gameplay I found reviews to be really funny sometimes when I started comparing new ones with older scores since I tore the WAB idiot apart. So much contradiction.
Well i got 75h out of this according to Uplay. Without the time i was just idling and on the desktop it probably would be 65-70h.
That's not bad for a game. But for a game focused on the multiplayer part that is rather sad. So i now have to agree, that there is no real endgame content available sadly.
It's the first time i play a Ubisoft game for its multiplayer since a long time. So let's see how the game will develop in the very near future. But i fear for the worse.

Instead of bringing other games up and talking about those evaluations maybe talk about his criticism and tell us why he is wrong.
Besides at least he doesnt give every AAA game a 8/ at least just because it is AAA. like all the other pc game magazines
Why would I? He's got every right to have his opinion, I just laugh at how inconsistent reviewers are these days, "he doesn't give every AAA game an 8+", really? Look at his website and the scores, there's plenty AAA titles with super high ones, some of them undeserving to say the least (according to the general consensus in this forum)
Sorry but I'm not really interested in gaming journalism, it's shit at best. Even the Hump has to be taken with a grain of salt when pie-chart games like Hitman get praised for cutting the content down to 25% and delivering the Early Access feeling even though most content is probably done by now.

It was announced that Hitman has an episodic release, so everyone knew what to expect in terms of content. On the other hand, The Division came with no end game content and Ubisoft didn't say shit about this. There is a different between being informed and taking a purchase decision based on that and purchasing blindly hoping that a developer had the decency to launch the game with everything is needed.
AJ exaggerates a lot including with The Division score and numbers are a poor way of scoring a game anyway, but he's not wrong in his criticism.
WTF is up with the weekly restock? It's this a joke because it ain't funny...
They were very clear from the beginning, just because you didn't have the news on the radar it doesn't mean it wasn't announced what's being done with it or what isn't. Hitman's poor excuse of an episodic release is a joke, defending this just because "they announced it and that they were honest" is hilarious. This is why we get more unfinished shit in the future. I could care less how good the gameplay is compared to Absolution, the taste of the Episodes is still shit.
Comparing scores shows what's wrong with reviews, most of the time, that being said I watch AJ from time to time as well, but after all there's a reason it's called a "show" and not gaming journalism.
As for the restock thingy, yes it is a joke and seeing that many people reporting this on reddit, I think it's going to get a change for sure. As with the Midas nerf and the likes. They're watching the community closely, gotta see for the next patch how much they include from that (stash expansion, skins as apperance items, etc.)
They weren't very clear at all just because they didn't said anything on the endgame matter besides DZ doesn't mean the game should just launch like this. Also the things that were clear turned out to be a failure like the "social experiment" PvP area named Dark Zone which is a PvE fest.
Even as a singleplayer game The Division doesn't shine, it has like 20 something missions that differ mostly through location rather than anything else. The side content is repetitive beyond redemption, compared to a game like TW3 (which has a ton of repetitive content as well) it's a joke (but looks better!). There is nothing to defend here, you like the game? Cool, I enjoy it myself, but don't hide behind walls of ignorance and treat criticism like is a sort of witchcraft because that doesn't help the game at all. Criticizing it is as much part of the process as praising it (if not more important) so take both as they are.

@harry_theone What's beyond you, I left the problematic multiplayer/MMO component aside and compared the singleplayer of a game advertised by them as an "RPG" to another singleplayer game.
I didn't call you ignorant, there was a metaphor there which u'r taking as an insult for no reason. I don't know if you denied every bit of criticism and I don't care, I'm not here to do post hunting. But every time I logged in and someone had something negative to say about the game in the last pages you were usually there to say something against that person (there were others as well).
And u'r the one to talk about double standard? I can see what's wrong with Hitman (and it's not the episodic release), can you see what's wrong with The Division and say it out loud?
PS: Oh your post disappeared rendering my post a waste of time. Back to finding someone who can give me an instance with Bullet King alive. Anyone who wanna help me?
The last "boss" though, that was a bit strange although I guess they needed to have something a bit different.
Spoiler:
But really, a attack helicopter that spams infinite missiles and a machine gun that can rotate 360 degrees plus fire in the opposite direction before starting to rotate and then they start spamming reinforcements halfway through and when it goes down loot explodes around the crash site.
Used a semi-auto marksman rifle, fuck the turret support, took that thing down in some 100+ shots so not much of a threat besides the infinite spam of missiles and electric disruption flares.
Yeah, in my opinion the whole last story mission was "weak" and strange. Most of the story missions were really good, with perfectly detailed interiors.
Hats off to Ubisoft Massive, probably the most detailed open-world game environment to date.
