for me its ultimately going to come down to one thing i guess...

will they bother getting conroy to voice batman, or cut corners and get some cheap voice actor? I'm still not very interested in this, but having conroy would, at least in my mind, give it some credibility and authenticity, and i might actually start to care about it a tiny bit.

Whoever voiced Batman in Arkham Origins was really, really good. He might as well play him, he was so close to Conroy.

Roger Craig Smith aka the voice of Chris Redfield since RE5 (RE5, RE6, REv1, RE:TDC). I don't remember Smith being a dead ringer for Conroy but I do remember him being very good although at times I could hear his Redfield voice.

The highlight however was Troy Baker who sounded almost indistinguishable from Hamill's Joker and if there was some deviation you could chalk it up to the "origin" aspect of the story meant to show the characters at an earlier age with younger looks and voices.

Some of the Telltale games are 100% interactive movies, not adventures, there are no real choices. TWD and TWAU tried, I have to give them that, interesting games. Tales from the Borderlands is just a fun little romp through that universe. GoT is a scam pretending you are affecting the story, you aren't! And Minecraft ... Laughing

Actually the truth is even worse. All of them are cgi movies, with some of them being slightly interactive. At the same time they are as much the part of adventure games genre as are hidden object games.

LOL, IT'S GONNA BE Y ANYWAY, SUCKER!

At least, now that everybody knows it, they should advertise it as such. But no. How fucking weak.

I guess Telltale is now more about quantity instead of quality. A sad turn of events.

They know their business plan works out, and that's what angers me the most.
Instead of saying "TELLTALE TELLS TALES", they still try foster the idea that your decisions are gamechanging, that they tailor the story.
Doesn't that amount to wrongful intent and willful misleading?
Market it as the interactive story it is, "TELL TALE", like the 90's "The book where you're the hero" I knew.

The game will be the first that uses their upgraded engine.

Except that those books have very different story archs with multiple endings, depending on your choices. So it's nothing like the Telltale games.

Well, Telltale seem to be doing prequels/sequels/spinoffs rather than adaptations but of course they might be inspired by an existing storyline..

edit They had said no Bat family in this one though.. (or at least they won't be the focus).

Rendered to look like a living, breathing comic book, Telltale's vision of Batman will feature an award-winning cast of talent, including Troy Baker in the role of Bruce Wayne, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer as Lieutenant James Gordon, Richard McGonagle as Carmine Falcone, and Laura Bailey as Selina Kyle. We'll be able to reveal additional cast and characters as the season progresses.

Okay Batman and graphics, great looking Bruce. Good voice actor for Batman (although they should had cast him as Joker), the rest.. I'm not familiar at all with most of them, so.. kind of disappointed.

I kinda doubt Dent or Falcone will be the big villains anyway, so let's wait and see who else is in.

In any case just on the premise of Batman + Telltale I'm all in. Very Happy

Well... the voices of Bruce, Selina and Vicky Vale look like a direct transfer of the main cast from their Borderlands game. It worked great there, so it's good enough for me.

I was getting bored with all the Telltale games, but Borderlands renewed my interest, so I am looking forward to this one. They can tell some great tales provided a good source material Very Happy

I always have a blast with most telltale games, its the wait that kills the excitement for me. Fuck episodic content, just hold it off till youve got the entire game and stop with the nickel and dime tactics. Meh.

Ah, ok, didn't realize I heard Yvette and Bailey in Tales from the Borderlands. Just checked them online and yup, they were the sisters. I think at the time I actually quite liked Fiona's voice and I was like "Who is she??" but since I wasn't familiar with the name of the actress I presume what happened is that I simply forgot it.

TftB is my second favorite Telltale game, it's amazing. Very Happy
