Yeah true but i still kinda liked Alan Wake somehow it was very flawed and often quite silly but still a lot of fun.

Indeed. The game which was a tech demo at the time was dumbed down to be able to work on Xbox 360 wich was dated before the game even came out.

Digital Foundry's technical analysis (XB1): http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2016-quantum-break-tech-analysis
What works:
- Character models
- Audio
- Global Illumination
- Physics
- Filmic presentation
- Motion Blur
- Materials
- Data Streaming
- Ambient Occlusion
What doesn't:
- Image Quality
- Shadows
- Temporal ghosting
- Physics and other oddities
- Texture pop-in
- Cross-buy
- Loading times
- Video integration
- Volumetric lighting
Conclusion:
Quote: | The real triumph here is the way in which the game's technology benefits the core gameplay. Quantum Break is an absolute joy to play - perhaps the best game Remedy has made to date - and much of that joy is the result of its technology. That perfect mix of high quality animation, effects, and feedback just feels right. It's an highly satisfying game to play. |
Most of the aspects on the "what doesn't work" category are easily fixable on PC. The PC version should look breath taking.

"It's an highly satisfying game to play"
They should probably read through their ads before putting them out there.

Game looks mediocre enough to not even bother buying it if it were up for sale anywhere else.

So what is the verdict ?
Is it anything like Max Payne and Alan Wake?
Because for nem Alan Wake was VERY similar to Max Payne somehow. I love those games. But QB don't seem appealing in the same way from videos I've seen
3080, ps5, lg oled
Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"
deadpoetic-"are you new to the cyberspace?"

This Syfy-Max is a weird beast, because some videos make it look like a cover-to-cover couchpad game with gimmicks, whereas others show that beneath the cheesy cinematicness, there could be something good.
Despite its derp nature, I'm actually interested to see how it plays on the hardest difficulty (Alan Wake especially benefited from this, otherwise it was an advanced luna-haunted-park walking simulator), the more precise mouse controls should also improve the situation.

Instead of dying from 1000 bullets you will die with from only 100 bullets.

Is it just me or does the gameplay looks a bit monotonous? It's mostly like walk into the pew-pew area, solve 'a Tomb Raider (2013)' puzzle and then walk into another pew-pew area?

You mean like every other puzzle/adventure game? The quality of these games depends on the cases and how everything is presented.
