That's close to DS1 and DS2. Only DS2 with all the DLC took longer:

Yup, you can finish both of them pretty fast as soon as you know all the ropes. So it was to be expected that it's the same with DS3.

Means jackshit.

III sword of Artorias?

I think they got the games mixed up a bit. Razz
(Well some weapons and armor do transition from one game to another with minor tweaks such as the knight armor sets for example but that doesn't seem to be the case for most of the boss weapons.)

Eurogamer PC review
Quote:
In an industry built on sequels there are plenty of also-rans - those that fail to move on, those that change too much, and those that can't handle the expectation. Though it would be harsh to call Dark Souls 2 a failure all three of these factors played a part in its final form, with the anxiety of influence leaving it, for many players, feeling hollow. Similar opinions must be held behind From Software's doors, else how to explain the return of Hidetaka Miyazaki to the Souls series as director? The fantasy genre has form, at least, with third acts about the return of the king.

These faults are real and should not be ignored, but are ultimately dwarfed by Dark Souls 3's vision. This feels like the biggest Souls game by a distance, not just in terms of sheer scale but in the achievement of delivering a kind of 'ultimate' Souls experience. Old hands may grouse about this not being quite as pure or unusual an experience as the earlier games but, in truth, the Souls series has transitioned from niche hit into mainstream blockbuster with only the slightest of compromises.

This is a truly epic journey, from your first faltering steps across gloomy cliffs to striding like a lord-slayer through Lothric Castle. Like all epics it has endless diversions, quarrels, unexpected companions, and great big fights. Is it the finest Souls game yet? I don't know; it might be. I can say this, though: Dark Souls 3 is a fabulous game, and a fitting conclusion to the greatest trilogy of modern times.

It's in the 3 as well, although it's the ruined version, much like in 2.

It may very well be, but still trusting Eidos knows hot make a Deus Ex game like they showed with Human Revolution (and from the previews they've improved what little was at fault in the previous one) Smile

after watching some more videos i must say that bloodborne asset reusage is pretty scary at times, some castle-like locations look like taken straight from BB, and the obligatory forest area seem to look worse than BB one. I have yet to see location that doesnt look like something some refreshed concept from either BB or previous souls games. On the other hand what more types of location can we really get?

Really. Funny how when DS1 got released and people were mentioning no death runs they were considered mad and nowadays with DS3 they mean jackshit like its the norm and everybody is a dark souls expert while the game is not even out yet.

I guess it all depends on if you're figuring out everything for yourself or just watching others do it and trying to copy pasta. And even so, its pretty darn difficult to pull off, especially in Bloodborne.
