Amazing that male fantasies are a part of an industry that was built by males - and is dominated by males - because (the vast majority of) females historically never wanted to be a part of it.
I can't be the only one who remembers what it was like to be a game geek in the 80s and 90s. How many female game designers existed back then? Maybe 1 in 50.
If you want to play the blame game - then I think women need to look at their own sex first.
But that's counterproductive.
If you want to break into the industry and make gaming a gender-equality thing - then you need to work hard and do great things, just like all the males did before you.
It doesn't just change by itself because you suddenly woke up and realised gaming is a great passtime.

Man, that poster. I remember in high school, we had a seminar where a feminist spoke. she used these kinds of posters to point out how women only get portrayed as sex objects, inviting you to penetrate them.
I fell asleep afterwards since i was 420.
