Currently replaying Skyrim for the third time. My goal was to have it be modded in such a way that it plays very differently + be more challenging. By playing at Legendary with a follower skilled in magic while I play as a rogue/assassin, the game has become a lot more tactical.

Well then, if there's very little tactics, when you add a little, it's already "a lot more" isn't it LOL

But you're right - the vanilla game's combat is devoid of many tactics unless you play a rogue like me - then the tactic of hit & hide works rather well although it does get boring. But by adding traps, using your companion to draw them out and sneak attacks it actually DOES feel tactical. You can't just use a single tactic in every situation too - the traps definitely make a huge difference.

Latest started game was Outlast which I downloaded a few weeks ago. Finished 2 or 3 levels and stopped for some reasons. I'll wait till it's dark and resume today (I hope) Smile

It feels tactical only if you chose to diversify your combat experience FOR THE SAKE of doing so, not because it actually IS required. It works for a while and yeah... you can fool yourself a bit, but... hours later one can feel the lack of depth in combat and the shallowness of the whole system.

Now, imagine if:

- types of attack would be required against certain enemies (slashing, crushing, piercing, silver)
- types of magic would be required against certain enemies (fire, frost, acid)
- enemies would be difficult not due to 10000% buffed HP, but because they require certain combos or type of attacks to be defeated

... so on an so forth...

But since Bethesda loves 8 years old kids so much, mashing button(s) is enough. Rolling Eyes

Looks interesting. Shame it's in EA. I like to wait for the full release of games but then usually forget about them. :/

Fully functioning with shitload of content and no bugs. It's version 0.12 and i really have no idea how 1.0 would look like. Give the free demo a try, it's worth it

Put them on your wishlist. Don't know if it's a new feature, but you now get an email if a wishlisted game leaves EA.

Life is Strange: lots of teen melodrama in a slow game. somewhat i'm curious about the main story, that is filled with tons of forgettable moments. some unsatisfying dialogue options too.

GTAV: just rocks.

Wild Hunt: still have to finish it Razz

Some Diablo 3 too as a time killer.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
