I think CODEX crack is nuked. Anyone who's playing with it can confirm that it works for him? Or everyone here bought legit copies? Because after few hours DS3|CODEX just randomly but constantly hard reboots on my part. No problem with hardware trough.

Man, I thought

would be hard (considering the amount of "good luck" messages and tons of summons nearby the door)

I beat him in one minute on the first try, without him hitting me once.

I was so flabbergasted that I damn hoped that Shadowplay recorded it.

And it did.

Spoilers I guess?

Needless to say, it was pretty underwhelming Laughing

thats what it means, releases get nuked when files are damaged or a bad crack is supplied and another group offers a proper before the initial group can fix their fuckup.

but in this case -> no crack related problems. few people bitching about crashes etc BUT first of all -> japanese company -> they know jackshit about pc ports. and second of all: most likely dumbfucks with preview releases of redstone or just not able to keep their system clean. or in case number three (which kinda includes number 1): just unlucky

Sounds more like your hardware is failing or overheating to me....
At worst a faulty crack will ctd but hard reboots? that's mostly hardware related.
It funny ppl almost always say they have no problems with hardware in those cases while everything clearly points to it Laughing

@macout
Try underclocking your GPU a bit/a bit more.

I have the same problem that rarely games make my PC suddenly restart. But often it's at the exact same location in a game.

My temps are perfectly fine. But i guess something else goes wrong at the moment with my overclocked card.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Anyone got any hints on a good starting STR weapon? ie something that would last me a while to bother upgrading.

I am currently using a halbard.

For now, this is much better than DS2 (and I didn't see a noticeable dip in difficulty as some predicted)

A question: how do you find illusory walls? I ask because I went around for half of DS2 hitting walls with the sword like an idiot before being told that in DS2 they changed the "trigger" to discover illusory walls to the A button -_-^

It depends on the enemies' resistance to dark. I know there are a few bosses and enemies weak to it later on. But a non infused weapon will always be more versatile.

Wow I just encountered a massive difficulty spike, some boss who I could only get to around 80% health before it killed me.

That's because DS2 is the easiest one. This one is more like a mix of DS1 and Bloodborne even in difficulty.

And they went back to DS1's trigger for illusory walls, you have to hit them.

nah, I checked everything ofc, but all temperature steady via aida64, gpu not even hitting 80C, I keep my pc clean, I mostly work on it; Also no other game crashing, like 0 HW issues. R6Siege, crysis 3, evil within, no overheating, no crashes. Its all on DS3, dont know how they were able to fuck it up but here it is. And I don't overclock anything, it doesn't give enough performance boost from my POV.

Doubt it's specifically related to the crack, though. Probably the game, unless you did try the legit version too.

Game runs great here CODEX version. 60fps 1080p Max settings but DOF & Motion Blur OFF.

In the Nvidia Control Panel for those who have Nvidia cards. I went to 3d manage option and added the .exe to it. Changed Pre-rendered frames to 1. Set to single display for those who only have 1 screen. Max performance option ON. Finally, some triple buffering and v-sync ON.

No crashes, bugs up to now. Played for a few hours.

Windows 7x64 Ultimate
I believe I have the driver version 364.52

Thankx

Yep, with everything maxed performance so far is rock stable 60 fps.
Might even try some downsampling.

Yeah I might try it but I doubt I could keep a steady 60fps above 1080P. Certainly not at 1440P down sampling but maybe some resolution in between.

I'll test it out tomorrow. I'm at work...
