Your friend(s) could just place down their sigil near the boss room though, and you could continue. Very Happy

AI phantoms make every boss a walk in the park. Always been like that in DS. I only use them when I get frustrated with beating my head against a particular boss-wall.

Depends on your SL (maybe even Weapon upgrades, not sure if that's for invasions only though), Covenant and connectivity.

Using a password completely ignores SL and Weapon upgrades. It scales the summoned friend down to your stats. So you can basicly summon someone who is already at the end of the game. Just has to be on your NG/NG+/NG++ and so on.

If the sign doesn't show up, be patient. It can take a while. It also depends on your connectivity between you and the people you want to summon and on the matchmaking servers puking out their innerts.

Yes. Unless you're way too high level than aynone who's still in that area. The higher you are, the more unlikely it becomes anyone can see your sign. Go Sunbro to increase your chances and SL +/- ranges. And keep in mind that the matchmaking servers are crapping out alot every once in a while since day 2. You see signs but you can't summon anyone, it always fails when that's the case.

There is also the Hollowing mechanic. I'm not too sure about it yet but some people claim that you have worse chances of your summoning sign being visible the higher your hollowing is. Which doesn't make too much sense in my opinion, it should be the other way around because you accumulate Hollowing by dying. The whole system revolves around the Dark Sigil. Could all be bogus though so don't take my word for it.

Weapon upgrades count, from what I've read at least.
(+2/-2 or what it was, for "unique" weapons that only go up to +5 it's counted as the double.)

(Levels are apparently +20/-20 and it also takes into consideration covenants but I'm not entirely sure how that formula works.)

New Game +

After you finish the game, you can start over again with your current stats and gear (not sure sure about that though).

After you finish the game (which is called NG = New Game), you get the option to play through it again with the same character in the so called NG+ (New Game Plus). NG+/++ (and so on) will have adjusted enemy damage/health/souls gain and so on. Some new items and or upgraded versions of items you already have. Possibly new moves for some bosses (needs confirmation though) among other things.

So i've reached after 1 death "The Big Wall of Lothric" as a "Warrior".

Does that means i've skipped the possible Crashful Bonfire?

What's more I always get a microfreeze if I use a special move+strong attack with my falcheon. It happens every single time I use this combination.

Game still crashes on the High Wall if I enable lighting and shadows. Funny enough, there doesn't seem to be any visual difference between shadows off and max (yea I know my char doesn't cast a shadow when he's hollow).

TBH i never paid attention if my character threw a shadow.
I just checked it now out of interest: My character indeed doesn't throw a shadow (i have much Hollowing).
