Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

The ending still holds up even after more than a decade. So Much Win

1 and 2 are still amazing.

Good ending in a recent game...now this is a topic I love to discuss. Smile

So games where the ending felt good and I was satisfied with the experience, instead of being kicked in the nuts after spending countless hours on it:

Witcher 3
Cradle
ICY
Fallout 4
Need for speed
Tales from the Borderlands
Shadowrun: HK

So not many, but then again I feel the past 12 months was pretty dry in terms of games that interested me.
The way I rate the ending is quite embarrassing...I love happy endings. Embarassed So if any of the important character dies or something bad happens etc, I don't like it. Laughing

If we talk about games older than 12 months, then the list would be a lot longer. Smile

The fact that after all those frustrating game moments and cringeworthy cutscenes, I got in a picture with "legends". Laughing

The same answer I always give: Silent Hill 2
The multiple endings are not all that great, but as is usual with games, it's the journey not the destination that's worth it. SH2 has the most awesome atmosphere I've ever experienced. The way the story is told and unfolds is pretty much unprecedented in my book.
Although I'm not a fan of horror (I'm too much of a nervous type Smile ), this is still the only horror game I was compelled to finish to the end (it's not all that scary, really).

Imagine a game written by David Lynch (in his prime) -> that's Silent Hills 2 for me.

Sure. Smile

Like I said before, I like happy endings...life is shitty as it is and I play to escape reality.
So I don't really like endings like in SOMA that makes you think, but is "shitty" for the protagonist, imo.

So in that regard, the endings for Fallout 4 were not all bad, lazy maybe in terms conclusion and how they were thought out, but still good in my book.
Since in the end it all worked out for the main guy.

It's pretty simple and funny too. Very Happy
