So far with all boss souls I've just consumed them and used the gained souls to level up. Most of the items resulting from transposition are magic crap, mine is a pure melee character.
That's a problem with long swords as well. You basically have to attack before the enemy does or you'll get hit first regardless what weapon the enemy uses.
I disagree. You just need to get used to them and if you can't I guess they're not for you, they don't fit your playstyle, which is fine. I for one beat the Abyss Watchers first try with Vordt's Great Hammer simply because I liked how the weapon felt and was running with it at the time.
Also, I'm absolutely in love with the Farron Greatsword, one my favourite weapons in the entire series. They managed to make it even flashier than Artorias's Greatsword, but it's actually way more practical too. It's special combo allows you to slide past enemies and attack them from the side, it's so cool!
In any case, I'm actually playing the game, at 900p, lowest settings, locked at 30 with drops under often. It's pretty bad, I know, but at least I managed to make it playable. It's still very incosistent, sometimes it runs very smooth, sometimes it stutters like crazy. Different graphics drivers clearly have some effect on the game since older ones make the game load faster but also run slightly worse than the newest ones for me. While my PC is still struggling with the game at the end of the day, I do feel like something is wrong with the game and with Nvidia's clusterfuck. It should run slightly better, even for me, I think.
I guess I'll consider this a challenge run: finish the game at cinematic framerate, heh...
Any idea why I'm not able to see Sirris's summon sign on the bridge at Irithyll of the Boreal Valley? Tried travelling back multiple times, still same.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Are you in "Ember" mode?
Also, I did the first level of hollowing with Yoel, then played through the catacombs and when I got back to Firelink, he was dead. As I read on the net, now I can't finish his questline and also doing this, I fucked up the

Spoiler:
Lord of Hollows Ending with Anri of Astora
Yeah, I was lucky to read about that before doing the catacombs. Now I just beat Aldrich and am about to...
Spoiler:
...marry Anri if I ever find that "Darkmoon chamber" mentioned by Yuria.

Oh, and, Sirris's sign appeared now. Had to travel back couple of times again and it worked.
It seems you cannot join Rosaria's Fingers covenant if you want to do Sirris's questline? Can I join after finishing the quest?

Damn, Yhorms Machete is beast fully upgraded. And I tested all the UGS/GS. At my current SL, 110, there is nothing that comes close to it. With my build, I didn't have a single person yet that wasn't destroyed by it's buffed (Weapon Art) Heavy Attack combo. It's hard to land though. If it does though... damn, sleep tight my friend.
Absolutely not recommended for people who rely on lock-on. It's a high risk / high reward weapon.
Has anyone had the issue of Greirat being dead in the cell below the Tower on the Wall bonfire when going to unlock it? Admittedly I had already killed Vordt then worked my way back and Greirat was just a soul in which I picked up the ring. Any ideas?

Sometimes the game crashes as soon as I start it, then after a reboot its usually fine. Or it crashes with an out of memory error after I press continue... le fuck? 4GB system mem not enough nowadays?

Did you play with your swap file size by any chance?

I need some info for that too.
I spoke to those two Blue Covenan bros at the Road of Sacrifice and they are at my base now. (pre-requirement to get Sirri i think?)
But i can't remember ever sawing that Sirri girl anywhere.
Joined the Rosarias Fingers earlier, but didn't offer anything yet or wear their sigil yet. I read that if you don't do those two things, Sirri won't leave.
After you speak to those 2 guys, Sirri will appear at Firelink Shrine. Sitting on steps. Maybe try reloading. Had same issue with her sign not showing up. After travelling to other places few times and returning worked
(those two will arrive at Firelink later)
I think, if you join the Rosaria's Fingers (even if you don't offer anything), she will appear at Firelink and bid you farewell. After that you become enemies.
Try giving Dreamchaser's Ashes to handmaid and see if Sirri appears, maybe.
