Hmm.. I pulled the first with an arrow and fought him as far away from the big room as possible. Had to try like 3 times before i killed the first one, seond only got pulled once and that's because i failed and walked in too far.

There's no reason it would screw up that ending before or after. Re-specing only conflicts with that bitch Sirris and her clan.

Yeah it was the same for me.
Missed some bosses (2 optional areas completely missed), missed some covenants, messed up and missed npc questlines, but that makes it all the more enjoyable to play ng+ and see new stuff.

Okay people, I seriously found the hardcounter against R1 spam now.
Mace weapon art. 50% damage reduction + stagger immunity. Just use it right before they start the spam and maul the shit out of them. Way more reliable than parry especially when going up against people with bad connection.
Mace / Morningstar both work. Dunno if there is more.

Haha yup, it's a fancy one, me likey. I'm now alternating it with the Dark Sword, depending on the enemies (the poor flabby Irithyll one wasn't up to the task anymore..rip!)
Still proceeding without any hassles, though to be completely honest, for some arcane reason I've been dying more when facing "standard" beasts than during boss fights (so far). Lord Wolnir was the worst offender, I didn't even use a flask, such a cool design and.. *sad trombone* xD (Shielded men in general on the other hand are my Achilles heel, I definitely must improve my rusty blocking skills!) |

I've been playing around with hidden body spell and some rings on my pyromancer and it works wonders lol
- Hidden Body spell (it works against almost all mobs except bosses(obviously) and some really tough enemies like those crocodile\wolf hybrids in the sewers after Pontiff boss + some enemies sometimes can "sense" your presence and try to attack you in the general direction they think you are hiding + after a backstab u need to back off a bit otherwise they might see you but not for long)
It requires only 15 int.
- Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring (you move silently)
- Hornet Ring (+30% crit damage)
- Aldrich's Sapphire (+ mana per crit I need it to restore mana coz I cast this spell often although I have two small daggers infused for mana regen too, I switch to them when I roam around)
I've just explored Grand Archives area(not everything) and I was like a silent assassin striking from shadows lol
Mobs fell prey to my rapier backstab.Giant gargoyles were killed by my spells enraged they couldn't find me. I dispatched silently and quietly a group of NPC enemies (a mage, a tank and a warrior) backstabbing them in two hits and they never knew what hit them
I ran past 10 enemies and two deadly knights on a bridge opening two shortcuts.
It was fun.
Of course I have to change rings if I get invaded or battle a boss and I need to do it quickly so I removed all other rings from my inventory, the ones I don't need.
And it saves me estus flasks
