So i went to a MediaMarkt shop and....

Logitech G810!!

I'll say my experience in a copy/paste..

(Owner of a G510 with screen and black/grey design)

I've finally found a G810 to try out at a shop and the vendor allowed me to connect it to one of their PC's for typing out shit on NotePad

Maybe it was because i was standing, i was tense and even if the keyboard was on a flat table surface (Instead of the previous "Touch me!" DIAGONAL one), i kept mistyping a lot, even the Tab key and CTRL key seemed to be easy to accidentally press due to the lack of my G510 "pinkie finger -rest-" that i say betwee the CAPSLOCK and the G keys on the left side..

Maybe if i were sitting i'd feel better but....No, there wasn't a chair high enough for me to type stuff out.. And i don't wanna spend the 190€/$ even if it has a copy of THE DIVISION if, after going home, it still feels like crap

It felt somehow good thou, but maybe different with the key edges than my G510

It looks like a good keyboard (the G810), I was looking into purchasing a new one myself but it's just not worth the price IMO. I would tops pay 110€ for it and if I ever see it on sale I'll pick it up for that price, unless I get a different keyboard first.
But I really like the simple look of the G810, no fancy schmancy bullshit and just a clean yet functional keyboard (the media functions are a must for me as well as at least being able to have 1 or 2 macros).

Why would you buy garbage from Logitech to begin with? Buy a real mechanical keyboard that doesn't cost a fortune.

While i think the mechanical keyboards of them are pretty good, they are also overpriced like hell for all the derp gimmicks nobody really needs.

My friend has the G710 I think and he has had 4 keycaps break from it already :l
Had to borrow him the spares from my QPAD so he can actually use it. Like the bit that attaches to the key itself on the keyboard cracks and the caps no longer stay on.

Yeah, I've read that some people are having issues with the keycaps. I've had the 710+ since release and no broken keycaps so far (knock on wood).
The reason you'd buy from logitech is because they have a good reputation for quality mice which I guess spills over to the keyboard market.

Well, most of the mices i've owned were Logitech and had no issues, eeexcept some rare double clickings with a single click with the old G mices.. Had 2-3 similar and then i have the G502 without issues so far.

Why?. Because it fits my right hand correctly..

And as for Keyboards i had a very old multimedia one, then the G510 orange LCD only and the G510 RGB one, the actual one. Dunno how long i've been using this last one though...

Don't get me wrong, Logitech makes the best mice. The keyboards are just overpriced crap.

Ever since MX510 was released, I haven't had anything else but the mouse with the same shape.

@Stige
Depends on what you pay for them. Razz
I got mine for around 85€ while I bought my corsair K90 for 110€.
I would buy other brands but to me it's a deal-breaker if there are no media controls on it and a audio wheel/scrollwheel.

G810 in action by me from a MediaMarkt shop in Spain. SORRY for the VERTICAL VID but i don't feel like rotating the vid.. Fucking phone nor the Youtube app lets you rotate without using the fucking PC ¬¬..Unless there's an option?

I felt the accidental? X2 key pressings still but much more less... Still, totally unsure wheter to buy or not. Perhaps if i were sitting with the KB on my table it'd make a big difference.. Even i make some mistakes with my own G510 but hell.. Those keys are fucking sensitive!, while mine you need to press the key's very center!..Me thinks..

I use Coolermaster's Mechanical keyboard with cherry mx browns.

http://www.amazon.com/Storm-QuickFire-Rapid-Tenkeyless-Mechanical/dp/B007VDKLLM

Uses the same OEM as Filco does.

And yes, I know there's no number pad, I don't use them.

Went to the shop with the keyboards. Didn't liked the G810 in the end. Felt rare to press. Again, maybe it was because i was standing and was nervous a bit. (130€ + THE DIVISION)

Next there was the Razer BLACKWIDOW CHROMA and damn that felt amazing (though the PC wasn't connected to a monitor). Clicky, nice pressing feeling and fast typing... Theeeeen i've read reviews online saying "DON'T BUY IT, WILL FAIL SOON OR LATER"...Damn (177€)

There was no "Corsair K70" though people kept complaining about failing keys etc. (190€?)

It's like there won't be a day where i'll change to a mechanical KB ever for me.

Even some people said that some Corsair can't work on W10?...Why's that? Oo.. Firmware too?

But still ISSUES EVERYWHERE... We're in 2016 and they can't get things working as they should or something?.. Dunno, slap a "2016 version!" sticker and that's it, with fixes.

Using a K95 Corsair myself since about three years or so back now, only issue is that these original versions are kinda prone to LED failures so about half the lights are dead at this point but that doesn't really affect the keyboard functionality at all and once the rest fail I can just disable the lighting stuff. Razz
(Also uses raised keys so for cleaning you'll want a compressed air canister or similar for this thing.)

In the end it kinda comes down to which switches you prefer I guess, white, brown, red, blue yada-yada, might be some minor differences in keyboard functionality and form and various extras and yeah mech keyboards are still kinda pricy compared to regular ones.

Anyone got a good guide for cleaning these switches that you can't take apart apparently or some shit. QPKAD MK-50 with Blue switches.

Spilling juice 3 times on it is starting to show finally, I miss all my clicks so bad Sad

Though it's not Mechanical Keyboard related, it's worth mentioning

http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/g213-rgb-gaming-keyboard

New Logitech G213 PRODIGY keyboard.. Membrane, like a G810, only no Volume Wheel, "4x faster than normal keyboards" (Really?)...

.....AND NON-REMOVABLE PALM REST....Aka reaching far away...People might hate that..

70$ but in Europe it's...82€?!..ASSHOLES!! ><

Now i wonder if pressing the keys will be better or worse than a G810...
