Not too shabby Razz (assuming that the numbers will match, even outside Nvidia's booth)

One thing is for sure, dark days are awaiting our Maxwells in terms of support, it was fun until it lasted xD

It could be the 8800 GT all over again I guess. Which is great imho.

I picked up my 970 a year ago too and that makes me kinda grumpy Laughing

Honestly, nVidia haven't been this impressively competitive *since* their 8800GT days. That 88GT was absolutely spectacular, it was stunningly powerful and astoundingly cheap, I bought that on launch day because of how cheap it was Very Happy Now seeing the 1070 is supposedly faster than the TitanX and is $379!? Even in WeFuckEU monies, that's staggeringly good value.

Yep. Now that all that hot air was blasted in our faces, and that's all it really was so far, let's wait and see actual numbers. If the benchmarks add up, I'm surely gonna pick up one of those 1070s.

I'm surprised that G5x is already being in mass production...Pretty sure I read that it was NOT going into mass production until the summer...Maybe nVidia got some kind of exclusivity deal with Micron?

Did I miss it, or was there no mention of board partners' cards being released simultaneously with the reference design? I want that 1070 but preferably with non-shitty fans.

I hope AMD have an answer to this other than "here is a card that performs about the same as a 390X but is a bit cheaper". They probably don't though Rolling Eyes

It all sounds so phenomenal... on paper.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Beautiful. Just beautiful. Now, i'll have to sell my Sapphire r9 390.

Did they confirm there won't be something similar to that 3.5+0.5 combo on 970 GTX? Like...specs are great on paper...but we forgot to tell you that you need to be on 800x600 res.

Not to be rude tho. I'm very excited and can't wait to see what specs AMD gonna offer.

Now we just have to wait for Paul's expert opinion before buying Very Happy WHERE ARE YOU WHEN WE NEED YOU

I'll definitely wait a couple of weeks though to see what AMD is going to release, but the offer on the 10xx cards is really quite something. Very Happy

Will this 1070 require more power than a 970? Will i be able to fit this on my system? I currently have a 760 with a xfx 550w, will that too? or will i need a new power supply?
