The lack of a single-player campaign was a "conscious decision", Soderlund stated.
"We made [the choice] due to time and being able to launch the game side-by-side with the movie that came out to get the strongest possible impact."
Yes, the strongest possible impact in your fucking corporate pockets. Can't believe how they even go public with shit like this and people accept it...
Again this crap about multiplayer games having a campaign to "justify" their price? Battlefront probem isn't the lack of campaign, is the gameplay and the lack of variety in multiplayer content.

But a lot of people would really love to get a CoD style single player campaign with those great visuals, audio and production values, why not? They are good for a couple of playthroughs usually
Yeah, I thought that when the price is low enough i would buy it. Tried it during free trial - this should go straight to origin access or as a free game for everyone.
That looks cool... I really enjoyed the Battlefront demo too, but I can see the criticism. Teamplay is not awarded, not enough environments, hero items and a lack of game modes...
But it just looks and sounds so much like Star Wars If it weren't so expensive I guess I'd buy it to play it a little. They should just make it f2p and sell skins and customizations.
I downloaded the trial, booted up the game and couldn't get past the loading screen because it just kept loading and loading and...loading.
Ran a quick google search, and someone suggested checking for updates solves this, so I did just that and after 'downloading' a 10GB update, it proceeded to download the whole game...again.
The d/l speed is very slow for some reason and the download will take longer than the trial lasts.
Is the trial 4 hours from the moment you launch the game, whether you're in-game or not, like the Titanfall trial, or 4 hours of actual gameplay?
If it's the former I'm cancelling the download.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty
EA said it was cumulative, so you could have multiple sessions that would, in the end, total 4 hours. It's not meant to be a 4h timer counting down from the first launch of the game.
To get right to the point, we’ve been listening to your feedback and your desire for more offline modes. Today we’re excited to officially announce a new mode, Skirmish, for all Star Wars Battlefront players.
The new mode will be available starting July 20 and offers players the option to play offline against bots in a solo mission or with a friend using co-op split screen. (Console only) Skirmish can be played on a difficulty level of your choosing and across two modes, Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron. With multiple locations that span the galaxy, from the frozen planet of Hoth to the lava encrusted planet of Sullust, we hope Skirmish brings players a new way to enjoy Star Wars Battlefront.
