Dr. Who of course, next time when I create a useless poll about a song from "The Guess Who" you will prolly respond the same. Anyway: The 80s versions are the worst IMHO. Later versions are audibly and technically better but become more and more bombastic. What I love about the original: They used an analogue synthesizer to create it.

I abhor the first Capaldi season music. It was awful, I understand they wanted to recreate some of that synth sound but tortured cat doesn't really work for me. I actually thought Smith's intro was probably the best new version - I liked the extra orchestral bits. But the absolute original is by far the best sound ever in the history of scifi music. And the cleverest, and technically out there. IMO of course.
