So I went to the shooting range today for the first time.
Twas fun, really. But it's nothing like I've imagined it.
First of all aiming was indeed more difficult for multiple reasons.
The iron sight was strangely adjusted on all guns, so you have to aim rather low to hit the target, which unfortunatelly the instructor told me after I've finished. 
(apparently they do this because the distance between target and ceiling is shorter than target and floor and it costs them money to repair and maintain missed shots on the ceiling and side walls).
Then you must finish your rounds, because you paid for them. I personally was done after firing 20 shots,
but the instructor told me I had to finish the whole ammo box, since I paid for it and they cannot keep "half-empty" ammo boxes for policy reasons.
50 shots I had to fire and I was the only one who got a shitty small caliber (.22) revolver, which was a pain in the ass to reload and you have to cock it after every shot (pull back the hammer thingy), unlike the 9mm H&K pistol my brother was using, which was semi-automatic.
The bullets I used were tiny, seriously... your vitamin pills are the same size.
Low noise and low feedback. Twas a piece of cake, really. Any 9yo girl could shoot that with no problems.
9mm are different, they are really, really loud and have a more noticable feedback/push.
Anyhow my real life aiming was pretty shitty. Because of the tiny size of the caliber used, you couldn't even see the penetration holes in the target, you had to use one of these telescopes, which I only used after I was done completely (which is kinda not the purpose, you're supposed to shoot a few rounds, then check with the telescope where they'd gone, then adjust your aiming accordingly, but the instructor was a joke, he didn't tell us nothing...).
Anyhow it was a nice experience, here are some pics.

I wanted to meet up with german friends to watch the Eintracht Frankfurt - Nürnberg relegation match and the parking lot was full...the foreign looking security guy asked me to park at the side and openly asked for a bribe so he'd open the gates for me My german friends that arrived 5 minutes later didn't get that offer.. |

20€ just for parking ? I need to work two days for that money ! You spoiled Germans...   |
