Bit off topic, but i see there is a translation patch for the Zodiac edition for XII with a developer who suddenly decided to stop working on it while there is missing text, for god knows what reason, while still posting on the forum. Anything significant missing? Hate it when they rerelease games with such changes so you feel like you're massively missing out by playing the original.
Dunno which patch you mean but i played trough the whole game years ago and didn't see any untranslated text just download a prepatched iso that's what i did.
has some bugs that for a guy who haven't played the game before might be a bit jarring. The newest translation patch (0.22)
- Some items have wrong or missing descriptions.
- Some missing npc names (shop clerks in bhujerba - I didn't notice anything else).
- Wrong names in pharos, when you look at the map for the first time (was it the case? I didn't investigate it yet).
I mean the item descriptions one. "So.. You thought that was a healing item eh? Too bad, and now you'll die for that mistake!"
Honestly i didn't notice any of those
I played FFXII bevore but i only ever finished the IZJS version so if there are bugs like you describe they are so minor most people won't even notice but if it still bothers you wait for the HD remaster shouldn't be far off anyway (i hope...)
I know this is a silly question, is ff15 coming to the pc?
There is no definitive official answer to that. Based on speculation, I think the consensus is that most likely yes, but not anytime soon (i.e., not in the next months).
Considering that they're releasing every other Final Fantasy and obviously making money doing so, chances are quite high that they would release the latest one.
This game sure seems to try to seem real as possible. Driving/running around anywhere, food, sitting around camp fires. I wonder how those camp fire scenes play out in the game, or if they even exist, or if that was part of a cutscene? I wouldn't put it past developers when you'd have to watch camp fire scenes to go to sleep

Dunno i assume it's probably similar to Brokeback Mountain....
Camping in XV is the only way to level up your chars, and cooking/eating food plays a large part of that, so I doubt t the campfire scenes are just for cutscenes
I see. As long as its quick.
I'm just wondering how gameplay is affected by trying to make everything seem more life like. I mean driving and running over vast areas can range from anywhere between cool and immersive to tedious and boring as fuck.
@ tet
since this is basically anime, shouldn't we use some shounen-ai or yaoi examples

like some gravitation
Yeah the whole setting screams fujoshi bait to me the characters fit the stereotype perfectly, could be wrong ofc but lemme put on my yaoi goggles for a minute.
Let's see, you got a bunch of very handsome, very well dressed men sleeping together in the same tent. One of them seems a little more inexperienced and possibly emotionally vulnerable or distant than the others around him who have taken it upon themselves to teach him how to become a man. One is the clown, the suave glasses guy, and lastly the muscle. And they all bond and start touching each other in a friendly manner.
That's pretty much the basic plot behind any shonen ai story. So yep, it's fujoshi fanservice.
yep, hence there are bound to be fanservice scenes, some male equivalent of panty shots, whatever that would entail.
Probably seems like SE is experimenting with pandering to that crowd to broaden their audience not that i have a problem with yaoi ,it just doesn't appeal to me not even the gay people i know like it cause yaoi specifically targets girls and middle aged women and not gay men.
Kind of like how pantsu and lesbian scenes don't cater to actual lesbians, but rather young and middle-aged guys To be honest, I'd be absolutely fine with for-girls fan service.. it would certainly go a long way to showing games are equal I doubt very much SE is going to be doing anything overt anyhow, it's just not their style.
Well you could "romance" Barett (Barret? Barrett?) in Final Fantasy 7 and the updated PS4 release after the "updated" PC release even had a achievement for it.
(Best Bromance or something like that.)
Cloud was more into sticking his sword into Sephiroth though ( http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/221240 ) so no matter whom you went after it was kinda half-assed.

Of course not they just took some tropes from it to make the game more appealing to those women which is fine by me it's just not something that appeals to me personally i really can't relate to those guys .

Good point. I'd find it equally stupid as for-boys fan service in anime. Though it will probably seem funnier at first, simply for being unsual. After all, I'm used to people in anime tripping over each other in the most bizarrely sexual way, as if that was the work of the fifth big force in the universe, the ecchi-force. Well it probably won't be that stupid, hopefully
Makes me wonder what the target demography of the game is and what the actual demography is. I for one know more girls into FF nowadays I think. But that doesn't mean anything really. My observation are surely skewed.

I honestly don't know most girls i know that play games and my women don't really like the main cast either.

pretty sure it will appear on steam aswell at later date
Yeah well we all knew it would be coming honestly this doesn't look very different then emulating it on pcsx2 to me, the difference with FFX was much bigger since it was very low res but the improvements sound good enough regardless will probably buy it again when it drops on steam since it's one of my favorite FFs.

Pretty sure the FFX remaster sold very well recently like every game so far, they wouldn't announce a pc version with the Japanese announcement anyway and they seem to be hell bent on cashing in on the double dippers with their jrpgs on steam for some reason dunno if this is the best tactic.
I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?
Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
I'd say most Final Fantasy games had certain recognisable traits that were common throughout all games up until FFX
Those things are FF to me
While they've had a mix of good and bad games since, none have really given me the same feeling as those pre-PS2 games
I know this won't be any different, but I still think it looks great. I just wish they'd announce it for PC.
This ^^^^
This game may be great, but it sure as hell ain't no final fantasy game

Supposedly GameMania is meant to be one of the biggest retailers in Belgium, so take that as you will. Then there's the mistakenly-posted-then-quickly-removed GameStop ad showing FFXV coming to XB/PS4/PC, before quickly being taken down and "PC" removed. I have no doubt in my mind whatsoever that FFXV will come to PC sooner rather than later -- and I simply cannot wait! Hell, I may not be ABLE to wait, if I can get a PS4 this year it will be the first game I buy
Full E3 conference and stage demo. Skip the first 27m since it's dead air for some reason. There's going to be several days of information, apparently.
And separate footage of the Regalia Type-F, flying convertible
