Well the PS4 preload is apparently around 15 GB or so and it went live Friday I think so people would probably appreciate a PC preload for the DLC too due to it's size.
The XBO went one step further and also allowed downloading the 1.2.0 patch prematurely though it's since been pulled with CD Project stating some weird thing about how it's not the patch but what else could it be and it seems to be working fine for those who managed to download it early.
Steam version is updated every couple of hours under a private beta branch so I assume 1.2.0 will go live later today and perhaps the DLC preload too and then it was apparently scheduled for a midnight unlock though I forgot under which time zone.

(At least I hope it goes live today so I can spend a couple of hours updating the script mods properly before the DLC itself is released so I can just hop in and start playing but we'll see what happens I suppose.)

Yeah, it's the patch.. ver 1.21.
Settings layout is changed a bit. Some new options added (enemy upscaling, turn off\on witcher senses fish-eye effect etc)
Interface in general is changed..(skills window etc)

Heh.. I'm using just one weight mod for now.. It is compatible with all versions including the upcoming ones.
