Because the writing in this show is completely retarded now. A lot of stuff is just happening for the hell of it.

Not even tits or unintentional comedy, the only two reasons I still watch, in this episode. 20 minutes of Sam and the forever young baby. So fun to watch!

Yeah, I got the feeling this will get increasingly boring in the future. We might get some epic battle or main character death here and there but for the most part it's going to be dull.

Hopefully I'm wrong.

When they kill off half the characters in King's Landing because somehow 20 religious nuts have taken control of it?

Or will be the priestess finally reveal her hopefully magnificient tits?

Dayuuum, you're usuarlly right about disapponting events in big tv shows (like that major disappointment in TWD finale). Good thing this time you seem to be talking about something good Very Happy

And it better not be what everyone already knows about Jon Snow.

I'm still am enjoy this season very much, don't get me wrong.

The writing really went to shit now.
Some storylines advance too slow, some too fast, and then you have several plot holes now too.

So Dany is going over to Westeros next season to sit on the Iron Throne and she'll kill everyone she thinks was involved in Robert's Rebellion?

I wonder how the undead North of the wall will affect her priorities, and whether she'll know about them before she's killed a lot of people she believed betrayed her family. Her dragons could probably do a recon run beyond the wall and be back soon'ish if she believes whoever tells her about it first.

It'll probably end with Winter coming and everyone dying and thus the series will teach us all to unite and love one another instead of constantly murdering each other because if we don't stand united the aliens will rape us.

Also, what's uh... what's the guy that Bran met this episode been doing for 5 seasons?

Like was he just chilling and decided to just show up now instead of doing something that would, I dunno, help with the problem that's growing?

He's been with the Children supposedly, they saved his life - and he knew the Three Eyed Raven, so maybe the 3ER said he was destined to stay there in order to save Bran? Time seems to be looping. "You're the Three Eyed Raven now" Benjen said... so ... yeah...

EDIT: The idiot who uploaded these clips restricted forum linkage, the bastard, but hey...

Arya meets The Brotherhood Without Banners in the forest
"The Lords of Westeros want to burn the countryside. We're trying to save it."

Their expert archer gave Arya advice

Remember the Arya/Genry connection? Genry stayed on with the Brotherhood

I freshed up on this because the Brotherhood Without Banners was mentioned again this season (season 6) after so long (season 3). I'm thinking Arya will meet Genry again if the Brotherhood joins in the fight to unite the North.

Gendry was taken by Melisandre. He was last seen rowing away from Dragonstone in a boat after Davos saved him from Mel's sacrifice. It's possible that he caught up with the BwB again after that, though.

The BwB will indeed be featuring in the upcoming episodes.

Yes, overall I question why they'd even start a series of this nature based on unfinished source material.

The whole show has that 'but that's not how it played out in the books' about it, imagine if they'd have a finished source and the show was just like the books, or at least closer and more faithful to it. It'd been even better for it.

Now in these final seasons there's George leaking some info here and there to the show's creators, but it's probably adding extra stress on the guy and his writing - he's not a young person, and the show people probably keeps bothering him for info.

I can only assume they never thought it possible that it'd become this popular, and maybe never thought it could go beyond the initial seasons. Not often you see medieval fantasy go mainstream.

Speaking of the possibility of certain characters meeting, this is a cool one, too:

Bran and Tyrion gif:

 Spoiler:

Tyrion befriended Bran by providing him the designs to a special saddle giving Bran the opportunity to ride horses. If Tyrion comes with Dany to Westeros which is likely, perhaps they'll meet again and Bran can explain about the White Walkers.

What's bothering me about it is where do they get the wood resources from to build ships. I can understand they buy from traders or raid for it, but their territory is described like this in the wiki:

Quote:
They are a group of seven small rocky islands clustered far off the western coast of the mainland of the continent

Quote:
Due to the poor soils and limited natural resources of the Iron Islands, the Ironborn frequently raided the mainland. Over the centuries, they developed a reputation as reavers who raided and pillaged the mainland.

There are no big forests to chop down to build anything of size or quantity.

Also, you can't arrange big raids to bring home a lot of wood when you don't have a fleet.

I guess maybe they have a lot of gold and they can send a raven or something and buy materials but yeah... Euron did say 'chop down every tree you can find', which means there won't be a lot of wood? Reaction They should stop drowning their leaders, it causes brain damage.

Yeah, it made me laugh too. "Imma build a thousand ships! Chop down every tree you can find!" said a guy on a rocky, lifeless island Laughing

So now they'll build him a thousand ships from all of them 10 trees in the kingdom! Probably in less than 3 months too, since a time jump right now should logically mean White Walkers munchin on everyone Razz

This is the kind of thing that happens when someone needs to plug a plot hole and writes about shit he knows nothing about and can't be arsed to do proper research. Or simply doesn't give a flying F.

The saddest and funniest thing about it is that it's all to somehow get Dany to Westeros... just a few eps after they burned her WHOLE fleet in a 5 seconds long, almost comic-relief scene Laughing

Don't worry guys, Dany will spout female Rambo foreign shit at the end of a few more episodes to keep you entertained, while they're building ships "behind the scenes" - so as to avoid plausibility.

They'll be ready in time Smile
