I'd rather take an astonishingly fun game to play with a few minor issues, than a perfect game with no issues which is as shallow as a dried up river.
Honestly, this game has so few issues that it's laughable that people here feel the need to point out every single minute problem (ohh look at that - Geralt's sword just clipped through his head! Shift-Del)
Compared to other similar feeling games, this is a masterpiece of coding. Sure the UI annoys on occasion (the nupdated UI is excellent IMO), and yes the camera is a bit annoying too (ImmersiveCam fixes a lot of those issues for me too), and the combat is IMO slightly clunky - but given the alternatives out there, and the properly thought out stories being told in this game - this is still one of the absolute best open world RPG games made.

It's an amazing game, but I think that people should be able to criticize it - including nitpicking it - without being attacked for it. It wasn't justified for an user pointing out bugs to be dismissed like this. If he makes an error when writing about the bugs, that's fine, people can and should tell him. But his post was simply disrespected for having a negative aspect to it. If we enforce that, we simply become an echo chamber. And those aren't fun, honestly.

Oh no, my dear friend Kanint, he's not a justified user, follow his posts, you will see he complains about everything, he's even worse than a woman at her period.
Add that to our "all-knowing, counselor-born, typical romanian" attitude and there you have it.

Shut the fuck up you argumentative waste of space. You seem to have somewhat altered your attitude on these forums recently, in line with a fair number of others on here who seem to have a desire to cause unnecessary conflict.
Well, another to add to my ever growing ignore list it seems Ho hum.

Purchased expansion last night but probably won't be starting it for a bit as I'm still on my first run through. I'm shooting for 100% completion. The last update created my first failed quest.

It stutters so much. I have an I5 4670k, 8 gb RAM, and a R390 8 gb VRAM,Win 7 64 bit, yet when reaching the tourney / arena grounds it stutters like crazy - i looked and my RAM usage was sky high. Any tips to solve this without upgrading to 16 gb ram ? I lowered the details to medium, still no improvement. I had this issue with regular W3 when i was in borderless window, but switching to fullscreen solved it at that time.

@BloodySpy Can't pinpoint this, but it surely isn't your RAM. I have 8 as well and also solved this on regular W3. Limiting to 60 fps also has improved the experience for many people.

@BloodySpy
You gave yourself one possible solution:
- Try playing in fullscreen window. That helped me with stuttering in The Division too.
Two other possible solutions:
- Enable VSync
- Update drivers

Thanks for the tips, gonna run a few tests : i want to determine if it's some memory leak, or something else. Cause i played for a couple of hours and it was fine - in the fields and such - yet when reaching the tourney grounds stuttered like crazy. The framerate was solid 60 all over.
I have the latest drivers, no antiviruses or other crap in the background - the system is for gaming only, absolutely nothing else. Basically it has Win 7 64bit, the Microsoft VB and C libraries required for various games, latest drivers, DirectX, MSI Afterburner, and games.

After some tests, it seems there's some memory leak on my system at least. I loaded a game at the tourney arena, where i had my first issues - was silky smooth. After playing a bit and changing a couple of areas, the problem reappeared (RAM usage high, resulting in heavy stuttering). If i exit the game completely then reload, it's fine again - until after i walk around for an hour or so. If i only reload without exiting the game first, the problem remains.

@BloodySpy
You could try setting fps limit in riva tuner.It really helped me back then when w3 was released with micro stuttering.
PS Ah I didn't notice..it's a memory leak..Well, it still helps;) Maybe the game has a memory leak on win 7 only

Finally i tracked the issue : the video settings switched back to borderless window after installing the patch+expansion. I went back to fullscreen, no more problems - the RAM usage does not increase anymore.
