Seems like all the "cheat" powers would ruin the tension of the game. Heartbeats indicating when the killer is near even if you don't see him...visual indicators showing the killer where sounds are coming from. Third person isn't a good choice either since players can just angle the camera to see each other over obstacles.

Watching some streamers play this today - looked intense to be chased by the killer - rather simplistic in gameplay and objectives though at least the map I saw, but still.

LIRIK just had 45.700 people watch him play this, that's like a stadium of people.. geez. Streaming is cool but man I'd feel the pressure at that point.

Pressure goes away once you see the dosh flowing in. I´ll try the beta but i expect nothing good since Almir has his unkempt beard all over the game

Played the beta for some rounds: Meh.

- Loading times take ages.
- Survivors can troll the killer forever, if they just keep vaulting through windows for example. As the killer is much slower with his fat ass.
- According to the forum there is no anti-cheat. So people are speedhacking around already.

Uninstalled and un-wishlisted.

Loading times seem to be dependent on the host, the can fix that.

I didn't even play the killer for very long before I figured out how to kill surviors who ran through windows etc.

I haven't encountered any cheaters yet.

I think the game has a lot of potential, I'm having a lot of fun.

This game will have a short life span if they don´t add lotsa features (can´t think of any that would make it more interesting tho). After playing this for some time i realised that while the idea sounds good on paper,it plays like milk going sour in the sun and my hopes for the "Friday the 13th" game dropped totally.

I'm also of the opinion that this will be one of those games that people will play for a week or two and then forget about. There's simply not enough complexity on either of the sides to warrant any other outcome.

A simple thing that they could have done that surely would have helped immersion a little bit is to have different "sacrifice platforms" for the each killer.

For example, the one we get in the beta has a meat-hook - that's great. It fits his character. But, the Banshee (or whatever the ghost killer's official name will be) will also have the same said meat-hook, when it would have been so much cooler (and more appropriate) for her to have like a noose, or maybe even a burn at the stake pyre.

To me it feels like they wanted to put in the minimum amount of effort and rake in the maximum amount of sales simply by betting on the "idea" rather than the gameplay itself - and letting the steam tards do the rest.

I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

@Ankh
You can only start a game if you have four survivors and one killer.

The matchmaking is lobby-based. So if one survivor crashes during the loading for example, no new players can join the game.

Thought that might be the case - too bad, wont buy it in that case as I only wanted to play with mates and I dont think enough wanna spend cash on it or play often enough.

Its my favorite game at the moment, I have 9 hours so far and thats a lot for me.

I definitely think its a game you have to try first, I would buy it and then refund it if you don't like it. Its a great experience.
