Gennaro has some master plan that will unfold at the end of the season, though who knows, with this show's pace could be much sooner

The fact that it has been cleared for two new seasons shows already.
Things are becoming less and less believable, and fillers begin to show (Ciro spents way too much time with his daughter. Are they seriously trying to add some depth to a man that is already established as a utter sociopath? That's weak.
They also trying to add more time to useless sequences (see: the time those cars are taken apart.
We know how mules work, don't need 5 minutes of garage-style lore to show us how easy it is to smuggle hard drugs in Europe. Everybody knows.

Let's hope it doesn't beat around the bush that much next week.

Sure, but the show made those irrelevant at best. They are trying to work an angle here, show writing-wise, and not for the best, IMO.
Even if it preps it up for him to lose his status because of his daughter, it's gonna be seethrough and bland.

Don Pietro is making some great moves but Ciro is sill taking the hits like a champ. He managed to prove to the alliance that it was all Savastano's scheme. Maybe that'll convince them to stop distrusting each other? Maybe not, especially the younger punks.

Left to see what Genny really has in mind.

Ciro had his brother Rosario a.k.a. "O'Nano" killed.
If there's one thing clear from the beginning of the second season is that he'd do anything to keep this "alliance" up and alive, no matter who or what.
He knew that with the O'Principe down the alliance would have gone slowly to crumble, so he forced the situation to haste reconciliation and reinforce the parts: Rosario was his end loose, so no harm for the other parts involved.
So he got away stronger than ever, thanks to this fake mourning.

Clues:
- Ciro wasn't exactly crushed at his brother notice of death, and he even started to let his daughter listen to this sort of things
- O'Principe's friend who betrayed him actually never mentioned Savastano as the killer of Rosario. Ciro takes this for granted in front of his partners in crime, to enforce the situation.

...where Rosario went to hiding with his family?

Yeah, one should come with the fact that only friends or brothers could know where Rosario would have gone to hide.
In general though, In stories like these powerful men do have their "birds" to find out stuff like that, so I find kind of possible that even the other side would find out about it.
The whole "who did it" was skipped quite quickly with a simple "some hitmen from outside did it...nobody knows anything".
I somehow think these men will come out very soon.

Patrizia does a really great job and I really like her character. I'd go as far as saying that her and Marco D'Amore (Ciro) are the best acting talents there.
