There is no "correct score". I would quantify my personal subjective enjoyment as 9/10, but someone else might not like the movie as much - I guess it is not very accessible to people who don't know much about warcraft or general fantasy settings. That's fine, everyone has their own preferences and tastes.
But the way the "official critics" portray the movie is, in my opinion, unfair. Based on their reviews, the movie would be much worse than a number of effect-packed soulless action movies like the transformers (which it is definitely not).

It's a shit movie with a lot of dumb fuck decisions that only happened because the writers are shitty.
Minor spoilers:
Oh look an alien race we've never seen before has invaded our lands and we the Alliance will just show up for a meeting and do fuck all for the rest of the film because the budget wouldn't allow for it.
Oh look we're really powerful mages but we're too busy making our eyes sparkle to help out with this Orc problem.
And so on and so forth.
And the really benevolent totally unbelievable king. Seriously.

Kill me yo so you can fight for peace or something because I'm sure that they'll totes respect you, and like since there's no one else who knows what I've just asked you to do, no one else will obviously know that I asked you to kill me and that it's all good, but uh go make peace between our peoples anyway since you'll have the ear of the Orc's for killing me and uh I guess the humans will... um. Hmm. Wait hold on I don't think I've thought this through.

Should have just jumped straight to 3 and told that story in parts if they wanted to do sequels. Like maybe with our hero Arthas at the start being all heroic and then ending with Arthas being all gray and withery and stabby stabby.
Just tells us about the invasion as part of an intro text scroll or something. Or as part of conversations between characters.
Oh and Lothar's son. Oh fucking shit. What shitty writing. You could tell from the start what his sole purpose was. "yer my only boy yer all i have left i love you", jee i wonder what's going to happen.
And why the fuck is a 13 year old running around like some sort of officer?

Saw it last weekend, I am satisfied (as a fan of the franchise).
The first third of the movie was too fast, while the rest was too slow. Acting could definitely be better and CGI actually gets worse by the end, but fuck it, it's Warcraft. Hopefully the Director's Cut will make it better, but in any case, 7/10 would watch again.

Going to see it tomorrow but original wow story is pretty boring humans vs orcs so I don't expect much from it.
I just hope movie will be good for future sequels, story gets much more interesting as things progress.

It's a pretty boring story. Baddie orcs invade, humans defeat the baddie orcs. The way the story goes in the beginning is waaay to similar to common fantasy stuff and doesn't feel dynamic enough. Would have been cool if the orcs succeeded in something and got a foothold somewhere. I hated that part of the books as well.

Animated movies are usually a gold mine, they take a shitload to render though.
Like "Monster University" earned 750 million$, proly around half a billion profit *ca-ching*
"Brave" earned half a billion minus the cost to make the movie, so around 300 million profit

I watched it last night and thought it was a piece of shit. The human actors were a bunch of uncharismatic wimps, and the contrast between real humans and CGI everything else felt too weird. The Dwarves and Orcs at least looked good, but there's a small cameo with Elves and I almost laughed at how retarded they looked.

just watch it and it was ok i guess but nothing more.
i was a long time wow player but never really cared about the story or anything related to it. would give it a 5.5/10. ok film for fans, the rest shouldn't even bother.
atleast you can see whats wrong with game adaptations in general.
warcraft has probably one of the most advanced and "best" story lines around games and it's still crap compared to any trash tv movie.
games really need to advance. not only in graphics and mechanics like in the past years but also in things like story lines.
sometimes it feels like im playing a shitty b movie. (rise of the tomb raider for example)
no wonder it can't be any good on the big screen.

WOW! 8/10 for the imax experience. I don't think I'd like it that much in a normal cinema.
What bothered me: the plot is chaotic, acting sucks, but the world and CGI is superb! And the overall plot was much better than I expected.
Very surprised after reading the 6/10s
go watch it in IMAX - the 3d is amazing!

Ok, I and my girlfriend were tricked to see it with our friends and it was so bad it was good.
The Orcs' face animation was great the rest was weird, the CGI was painfully visible as CGI, the green/blue screen and artificial lightning were so obvious. Anyway it looked like a WoW cinematic made by Blizzard, it was really weird to see real life actors and cartoonish dwarves Smile
The real life actors were playing with zero fucks policy and it was so entertaining.
The further the plot run in the movie the worse it got. Some strangely cut scenes, problems with continuity, bad prostetics, awful spell efects - I'm talking to you lightning barier.
It just went full 80's.
The closest I can compare it would be Dungeon and Dragons movie (first part).
As bad as it was I were thoroughly entartainment by it.
Oh and it is pretty brutal.

why would i want to dislike it and how exactly did i "prove" it? then i wouldn't have watched it in the first place or would gave it a 2/10 or something.
it felt like a tv movie. (like with the most gaming story lines) im sorry that is my opinion, you don't need to like it but then ignore it or come up with arguments and don't pull shit out of your ass just because you don't like my opinion.

i said the story line is crap compared to any trash tv movie. not the movie itself.
hell look at the budget, how can it be worse in total. sure the cgi sucks and all but i only meant the story line in this statement.
im surely wouldn't give a trash tv movie (sharknado or anything) a 5.5/10 or similar.
im not sensetive and i got no problem with you at all. i just felt a little bit attacked for my opinion im sorry. i did not wanted to hate on this movie just out of no where, like you stated!!!
