Activision has announced (via USA Today) a new Ghostbusters video game, based on the upcoming movie reboot.
The top down, isometric game will be released across PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on July 12th.
Up to four players (male or female) can play together in cooperative play, as they strap on the iconic Proton Packs and wipe out the local ghosts.
Activision said the game takes place after the events of the film, and revolves around a pair of rookies who keep watch over the home while the real Ghostbusters get to work. So, in the Ghostbusters video game, you don't play any of the Ghostbusters from the movies.
But, as a novice Ghostbuster you can upgrade the gear and abilities of your character by completing tasks, defeating creatures and discovering hidden collectibles throughout Manhattan. There are four rookies you can choose from, each with their own playstyle.
Activision doesn't mention the developer of either game.

I think I'm gonna replay the 2009 game. It was fun with the physics etc.
I believe Winston wasn't in that game, at least not a big role. So it is only generic white guy player character and Peter, Ray, Egon.

Shows as 40 here, but maybe this is the one game on Steam with semi-accurate US to EUR currency conversion, or well some form of currency conversion at least.
