only if the owner uses offline mode. if he is online and plays a game you cannot play it (but ofc every other game of his library or any other games he decided to share)
How does family sharing work? Can I play at the same time?
i just use it to share my denuvo games with others. they go into the game, and then firewall steam or unplug the internet, and can play through the whole game while i'm playing as well.
otherwise they get booted out of the game 5 minutes after I play any steam game.
Steam has a go offline function. Do you have to firewall?

Maybe that's the Denuvo part, not the Steam part. For Steam you just need to go offlne and that's it .
unless they changed something very recently, yes, offline mode in steam family share is unsupported. only the owner can go offline that way, not the people he is sharing with.
BUT hopefully free cards, so thats always a bonus... also, only like... 6 hours to go until steam goes down, hope everyones ready for that. ugh sales.. steam servers showing their age cant hande the strain for shit.
I have a problem with VPN and Steam. Cannot activate RU gift, says "This item cannot be added to your library because it is restricted from your country." with the VPN turned on. I've used this method before, but now I can't. Do I need to do anything else now or is it because of the mobile authenticator, which I use without VPN?
