The gamma is really off, the contrast is crushing everything into a black mess.. i have that in some of my vids (recorded with FRAPS), it looks absolutely terrible when it happens.. they can solve it by changing the gamma for the desktop, then FRAPS will record it with correct gamma settings (can take a while to tweak it)..
Yeah i could probably do way better then that anyway just look at some tweaked Skyrim ENBs instead and ignore the vid it was the only one i could find of this mod with a ENB it's not official it was just some old alpha of the mod with some shaders some guy captured.
Without actual code available the custom exe is probably pretty limited in what they can actually modify but I don't know although I kinda doubt Bethesda would ever release the actual Creation game engine code so I don't see them doing more than maybe replacing some minor things like the exe icon or some text strings but we'll see when it's out.
I'm really tempted to play in German. I should be able to understand, been a while since I spoke German though. Played the first with English subtitles. Too bad the subtitled version comes with the English release.
Even some Germans waiting for the release of the English version because apparently every release with German voice acting is shit ... OK OK I don't even try to understand that logic.
I watched the video and agree what M3thod said about the german voice actors.
They might not be that good yes, but they remind me of the good old days of the Gothic series.

I don't usually like german vo but i always liked them in Gothic and this mod has a lot of the original Gothic voice cast they are all professionals and worked for free on this mod everything was recorded in a real recording studio as well and not phoned in or something it's not something you usually see in a free mod.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Luckily I dont experience crashes in borderless window mode. But the bink videos show only sound. So I alt-tab into VLC to watch them there. There are only 3 (excluding credits) for the whole game so its not too bad.
After playing a bit into the first town, here are a few observations.
1. Voice acting
German voices are sometimes really well done, imo and sometimes a bit wonky, but for a free TC they are extremely good. On par with some AAA titles imo.
2. The Lore and the game world
Wow. Really well done, there is a real story behind the game, behind the characters, there is a bit of "culture" some kind of local dialect, well written dialogues and funny quirky characters. Its that good. I am already immersed and even if you recognize Skyrim assets, the whole game stands very well on its own and could easily be its own game. The world feels alot less generic than Skyrim did imo. Allthough obviously smaller somehow. But I have only just arrived at the first village, so.
On the bad side, the Map is completely unusable, but then again you dont need it. This is a game that can be played without map. There are even quests without questmarkers, just to make the mystery more mystierious and let the player think and search for himself. Aw yiss.
3. Gameplay
Its Skyrim, yes. Swordfighting is just as bland as ever. I prefer the bow myself and some magic here and there. You get skillpoints at level up that you can only invest when reading skill books and in another dimenson, but see for yourself. There is also a new gamplay mechanic introduced (That I wont explain for spoilery reasons, but it reminded me of The Wheel of time a bit) that gimps magic a little bit, but its really not that bad, so, to me, doesnt really change alot. Fast travel doesnt work. I dont know if there will be other mechanics later on.
At Adept (default) setting the game is way too easy though. I'm level 5, I didnt distribute a single skillpoint yet and I beat any enemy with bow/magic/one-hand/two-hand, just aswell quite easily. I have not felt the need to upgrade my character yet to become stronger. I feel like I'm already strong enough. I'll continue the game on Master difficulty.
Until now, this game is the best TC for any game that I have ever played. It is alot more stable and feels more solid than Nehrim did at the time.
To me its not just a TC, it should be regarded as a whole RPG that stands very well on its own. Anyone that likes RPGs should absolutely play this.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
So far im impressed feels a lot more professional then Nehrim did (which was allrdy pretty good)
the intro is kinda disturbing, writing is really something you don't see like this in professional games mostly cause they don't have to make any trade-offs i guess.
Had to lower the shadow draw distance with ultra shadows a bit since it dropped to the mid 40s some times with a 980 ti, the default DOF effect is terrible and it looks like you have glaucoma or something i ended up installing DYNAVISION which replaced it with a nice subtle DOF, most mods not specific to Skyrim like Body replacers and so on seem to work fine but almost everything is custom made in this mod so that doesn't really leave that many, ENBs are not recommended as well since it uses custom shaders which won't work right with it.
