I watched the ultimate edition last night and after the panning it received upon the initial release I had not set my expectations very high, but I thought it was pretty good. Batman seems to be on a bit of a killing spree which I thought he didn't do but I don't really care about that to be honest. I did like the dark/night setting of most of the movie, made a nice change from the colourful bright Marvel movies.

yeah ultimate edition fixes(explaines some stuff ,...) some of the glarring problems of the movie , but still is just only OK , nothing less notging more
I watched the ultimate edition and I didn't really like it. It didn't make much sense to me, I'm left with many questions. Here are some:
Spoiler:
- Why did Batman go all out psycho, trying to outright kill Superman? He didn't seem to have any problems destroying shit in the end.
- Was Batman's vision in the theatrical cut? If yes, what idiocy. I had to search what that was.
- Did Batman really get turned just because Superman happens to have a mother named Martha? Are they bros now, since they have mothers with the same name?
- How did Luthor know he'd have to have fingerprints to open the door in the ship?
- Why the hell would an advanced ship offer the command to any guy? What kinda retarded ship design is that?
- How did Luthor create the orc? Is Luthor's blood evil?
- Superman seems to hear every fart from Lois, why didn't he hear Martha being in trouble?
- How did Luthor and Wayne know kryptonite harms kryptonians?
Batman's rage didn't seem to make sense, Wonder Woman was out of place, and it all became ridiculous when the big orc appeared. I'm tired of the childish Marvel humor, so I liked the dark mood in this movie, but the script was bad and it was actually a bit boring. Luthor was also very, very bad.

Yes.

I answered the only question that can be answered. (The answer to the others is "because the script is bad".)

im pretty sure the lotr troll reject came from getting the ship to magically attempt to bring zod back, but he also introduced his own dna to the mix (his blood)
the mix of human dna, alien dn, magic, and shitty writing, created the monster.
as for why batman went killcrazy, i guess its just because he saw him as dangerous, and resented an alien species trying to inflict its will on humanity (as he saw it)... so that motivation, combined with mental instability that we all know wayne has always suffered from, as well as shitty writing, created the kill murder scenario.
but yeah shitty writing is the answer to every other question.

Zack Snyder confirmed on Vero (via ComicBook Debate) that the Joker had killed Dick Grayson - the first Robin - not Jason Todd.

I watched several interviews with Cavill and he seems really a sweet guy. I always looked down on him since the terrible Superman, which wasn’t his fault.
Wouldn't blame him after the 'not so good' last movies.
If you read the original source, it's WB that don't want him.
Sources said that there are no plans for any standalone Superman films, and that WB are also looking to "hit the reset button" and take the films in another direction.
They are making Flashpoint after all.

Bah, I reckon he'll get more out of the Witcher than he ever did with Superman - sure, a flagship licence that gives you worldwide recognition, but also a stain on your actor's resume preventing you from getting into the "better" kind of movies. I like the guy, so I hope he does well.
And yep, gotta keep Flashpoint in mind !
