Definitely France played in an underwhelming manner, with Deschamps still insisting with that wrongly positioned midfield (not a coincidence that Pogba started playing better as soon as he was moved closer to the strikers - he simply isn't and never will be a DM), yet Germany decided to commit seppuku despite having the upper hand..it was weird. 
The injuries and absences didn't help, but playing in a superficial way essentially punished them. It happens, I'm convinced that things would have been different with all the players available.
And now I'll have to root for Portulol xD

I'm not so sure about that. Clearly germany's strikers weren't good enough, but france wasn't good with their own chances either. The 2 chances provided by germany were clearly easier to utilize.

To me France did had better strikers. It was obvious that Germany has missed tall target striker they used to have before. Playing Götze in that position was a pure fail because he felt lost as fuck in that position. Even tonight Germany tried to cross the balls into 16m area but there was no one to score the goal by heading the ball. Müller is ok as a second striker but he's not 'Zlatan' though.

what was it else if not a mistake? huh? was is right from schweinsteiger? NOPE IT WAS HIS MISTAKE! though im not saying its his fault we lost
im not fucking even talking about the clear penatly for us in the beginning, or maybe it was a freekick on the line, who knows. those fuckers (hi french production) never ever showed it after that. pogba coming from behind with no chance to get the ball kicked against (dunno kroos? or was it müller) his leg while he was shooting. if thats not a foul i dont know... through the complete game the ref was bad, not really game deciding bad but bad
germany was the better team through the complete game. more shots on target, more than twice as much played passes, migh higher complete pass quota, much more possession. better duel quota, less fouls.
so you say the baguettes won cause they deserved it? nope. it was our own fault not to score (which is difficult without a proper striker) and our own faults to get the 2 goals against us (the second didnt even make a difference at all). imaging what would happen if germany has ALL their great players available in a tournament. with a reus or a gündogan, oh boy, pure domination

France all the way! All those teams were so ... underwhelming, none of them but France would've persisted in a league environment f.e. UEFA cup (or euroleague or whatever you want to call it)... And I guess even France wouldn't have made it to the second stage of the champions league
