People are scared to really criticise it because they would be called misogynistic. Nice terror PC fucks.

People rolling with a proton pack on the back, using them as lazos to emprison ghosts at first, then to vaporize them, and finally to hit them in the balls.
Cheap jokes, characters cut down with the axe, clichès al every corner, man bashing at go-go.
I do wonder how many of the good reviews are because of the fear of being branded sexist.
Maybe it us good, who knows, but everything I see our read about it sounds terrible

I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?
Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
Damnit, everyt time I goto this thread I think of this song from Boondocks, now related to the movie:
[Verse 1 - Thugnificent]
Haters say huh
Haters say what
[Hook- Lethal Interjection Crew]
Stomp em in the nuts
Stomp em in the nuts
Stomp em in the nuts
Ima stomp em in the nuts

was there ever a movie where a girl got shot in the cunt? i think not even "shoot em up" went this far.
equal rights i say.
Well the only movie that comes to mind atm is "So I Married an Axe Murderer".
But after seeing shitstorm this movie has caused, I kinda wish it would bomb...HARD.
Then everyone can start blaming "women haters" for the flop like they do when a game flops, ie. blame the pirates.
"Critics Consensus: Ghostbusters does an impressive job of standing on its own as a freewheeling, marvelously cast supernatural comedy -- even if it can't help but pale somewhat in comparison with the classic original."
the fuck?
Is this the same movie we saw trailers from or did they secretly re-make it?
This one at least seemed believable:
"It spends so much time doing battle with its legacy that it forgets to be its own movie, putting a talented cast to waste and marking another disappointment in this dreadful summer movie season."

I dunno, that one part seems to be stretching it.
I mean to me really, so far it only seems to be on the level of the Pixels movie movie as far as 'comedy' and depth. Just a 2 hour screenful of 6th grade humor with a cringe worthy cast.
Melissa McCarthy is just a female version of Kevin James to me. a "I'm funny to the lowest common denominator because I'm chubby, loud, and act retarded and dim witted ". The black chick is the most 2 dimensional stereotypical 'token black chick'. Not one scene I've seen her in doesn't scream "Remember! I'm the SASSY black woman of the movie!"
The really just need a review of it like:
"This movie tries to expand on a comedy classic: By boiling its comedy and nuances down to just a series of adam sandler like comedy of prat falls, racial jokes, gender jokes, and shooting ghosts in the nuts. All while doing it with CGI that would be mediocre 10 years ago. The only good thing is that I'm sure the ghosts from the first movie are happy they was contained, so they do not have to see this train wreck of the summer."

Unfortunately the US lost the ability to produce a comedy, well at least a high humor comedy. Every one I have seen recently is genital, fart low level crap. It doesn't need any kind of elaborate writing, which in case of real comedy is needed.
I wouldn't mind a female cast if it was a good female cast (Tina Fey would fit great here) but they got the gutter stars. I'm talking about you McCarthy you fat piece of shit.
Proof - The Martian won the best comedy award. The situation is that bad.
I agree, comedy is really the only style of movie I like..well come to think of it TV also, not counting my other ones like science channel, documentary shows and such.
And I haven't had a movie I wanted to go see in theaters here in the US in like..10 years(?).
There is a few of the "Eh if I pops up on Kodi at decent quality I will watch it" ones. But our comedy movies I agree, have turned into almost the spitting image of that the movie idiocracy predicts it will be.
Hell it effects all the movies we in the US make:
Horror: All just TONS of dark areas with blue light, jump scares, and shaky cam.
Action: All just CGI overload with 4000 explosions and matrix like camera angles.
Comedy: All just pratfall humor, mixed with dick jokes and bumbling idiots getting in situations.
And its a bit sad this new ghosbusters from the trailers seems to be using all 3 of these horrible american movie cliches in ONE movie to one degree or another.

Good to see that I'm not the only one who is subbed to redlettermedia Btw that re:view was ok Their Tremors review was much better because they actually reviewed that one
I think most professional critics would rather just say is was an "okay" movie and move on with their lives rather then deal with all the sjw drones garbage if they said otherwise.
