I was at my mother's yesterday to help her making some work on her house, and had to fetch a few chemicals for the wooden deck outside.
So I grab a bike, and head to the store. On the way there, some asshole with an SUV starts honking like crazy, despite me being not only close to the sidewalk, but him/her having all the space in the world to circumvent me (there was litteraly no traffic on that broad one-way street).
That piece of shit goes half a meter next to me on my left, and start honking like a maniac.
Result: I'm startled, try to go on the sidewalk, but on that angle the bike's wheel slides along the edge of the sidewalk, and I end up being launched into the stratosphere.
Right knee's fucked up, and so is my hand.
That slimy fuck just sped up and left.

people should drive the cars they can drive and not the cars they can afford (as a matter of fact that mostly applies to woman and most of them even cant afford them but their husbands...)
and driving those stupid suvs in cities is always stupid

Exactly. I see a LOT of those SUV drivers are rich women, trying to act all superior because they are half a meter higher than anybody else on the road.
And don't get me started about the way they park their gas-guzzling monsters.
Those cars are SPECIAL UTILITY VEHICULES, I don't see why one is needed to go down two blocks to get some fucking bread or something.
Should be illegal in urban centers, unless you can justify it's use (a gardner or something).
But some people just can't do anything else but show the world how important they feel they are, I guess.

By the time I got up, car was way further. I damaged myself, didn't want to fuck up the bike.
