Bought from cdkeys but it says "This product is a Pre-Order, it will be available here on or slightly before the release date of 23rd August 2016"

Anyone got it already? Do we get an email notice or something or we have to check that product page?

I've ordered quite a few games from them (and this one). Usually you get it around pre-load if there is one or a day before/on release day. You'll get an E-mail notice. Smile

Most keysites send keys on the day of release or a day or so earlier. Some actually miss the day of release. I bought from Instant gaming and the site promises delivery on "Expected delivery between August 22 afternoon and August 23 23h59"

I am not sure about new gow too. It's not made by epic. And judgement which was also not made by epic is crap.

But I am not giving benefit of hype to Deus Ex just because it's deus ex. They did well with last game though

Good that means both AMD and Nvidia has driver support already though it doesn't mention any API's, also for SLI/Crossfire AMD doesn't list this info and Nvidia's driver specifies that it's for DX11 so I guess multi-GPU is going to be either unsupported or up to the game developers for DX12?

From the last we heard, yes. The developers have actually not talked about DX11 from what I remember. It's obvious it'll have DX11 too, especially now that Nvidia has released a driver with DX11 SLI-profile for the game, but the developers themselves really just hammered their use of DX12 every chance they got.

Other than that, the game makes use of a LOT of tech, including both AMD and Nvidia tech. (PureHair, PhysX) It also includes a benchmark, so we can compare our epeen.
Regarding optimization, it seems like they're betting a lot on this new engine, but we haven't heard much about performance. A Russian editor said on a forum (great source, obviously) that the game actually kicks the ass of the GTX 1080, even at 1080p, when running the game completely maxed out. But, apparently doing this also makes the game look far better than Crysis 3.
It doesn't say much about how well the game runs or looks at lower-but-still-high settings. I believe journos will be able to talk about the game on the 19th (the same day we can start preloading), so we'll see what happens.

Shit, how deep are those feelings... he's gone for months now. Try to get over it or seek professional help. Though seeing alt 5345456 my guess is: letting go is not your strong suit.

I don't think they ever said that in regards to CFX and SLI specifically. There is potential for being less reliant on drivers in general, since most of the work usually done at driver level, can now be done by developers on the game itself.
As for multi-GPU, developers have to explicitly come up with a way to use it. You could say it's easier for them in a sense that they have more options and all the tools at their disposal.

In both cases one thing remains the same - it's all on the developers. If they are not willing to put in the extra effort, we won't get better implementations by default. DX12 is only an improvement when it's used properly.

One can hope that once it matures we will start seeing all of those touted benefits.

MS can make all the DX improvements they like, if most developers don't give a shit about PC optimization, it means shit. You can't really blame MS for that.

Does this use the same tech as Tomb Raider? If yes, why is the facial animation and lipsync much worse in this one?

Yeah I don't remember any issues with Hitman Absolution. But just because it's based on this doesn't mean anything. Arkham Knight was based on Unreal Engine and look how it turned out. Laughing

Here's more info about it (for example there will be some kind of temporal AA, thank god. DXHR was only FXAA and MLAA. I wanna see more of advanced SMAA like SMAA T2x).
