The experience of the vive is a tech marvel don't get me wrong and will improve..when the controllers on my hand changed to two laser pistols on the screen I was blown away

I cancelled my preorder. With all the games in the next couple of months, I can't afford it atm. I'm only really interested in Resident Evil 7 which isn't out until January and Farpoint which I don't even think has a release date yet? I must admit Batman VR interests me too.
meh, tons of shitty short games..dunno, it looks like a gimmick to me. It was the same with motion control games, just nothing there for me..nothing that interests me, its an easy skip. The intro on that video that Inter posted it, describes it perfectly.
Theres a lot of potential but until the better titles become available Im gonna hold off. A friend of mine played Driveclub with PSVR at EGX this year and it made him feel sick lol. Thats one concern I have myself.
No, I definititely want to try it...but now I just don't feel like it, buying it I mean. But I can't see VR as standard for gaming atm, maybe in the future, but now we are far from it. I decided to invest in 4k HDR TV and Pro, later Scorpio ofc..
I was one of the skeptical, but trying it made me think otherwise and keep my preorder.
It's a lot less of a gimiick than Move/kinect...
I'd absolutely love to, but they're not making that easy here in the UK. For now I have decided to cancel (if I cannot sell it on eBay for a quick profit before my cancel deadline )

That's my plan now actually - £1000 on a 4K TV (probably, I want a good one and it seems you need to spend that much for a GOOD HDR one), and then the Pro / Scorpio too next year).
Kotaku is destroying psvr and while I agree with them it has issues, it is in no way as bad as they say.
I guess they didn't get their Sony pay check this month
Shitaku if you ask me... PSVR is like à quantico dream game : you either like it or hate it...
the "problem" is: the press was excited after trying that stuff on gamescom for example (or even e3). but there they had a chance to use it ~15-30min. that says absolutely nothing
and the ps4 (even the pro) wont be able to deliver high quality experience, thats the main problem. iirc the people who played resi vr said it looked like ass. and ofc the overall lack of games which are more than just a little techdemo
So I didn't see the Kotaku article as negative.
But then again I cancelled my pre-order anyways.
Too much for too little right now, even if it is better than they say.
I didn't like the kotaku article because they seem so focused on comparing it to the other VR systems out there. The problem with that is, for a lot of people, PSVR is the only option. I'm very curious to see how it unfolds, as VR interests me quite a bit. Looking forward to impressions from you guys.
Yah I think I might be a unique case here, I really haven't enjoyed any of the VR experiences leading up to this, so I'm headed in fresh, and I like the idea of major backing of one of the "main" consoles. The lower price point could entice lots of content to be created for PSVR and that should be good...
Time will tell I guess, lord knows we've been burned by 3d, motion sensing, cameras, etc so far..
I think the price is too high with the camera and controllers + need to upgrade to PS4 Pro eventually.. I'd rather spend that on a Oculus or Vive i think, even if that will be slightly more expensive. It will also depend a lot on the games, just 2 _really_ great games and i will most likely buy it..
The closer it gets to 24th January the more Im gonna want it for Resident Evil 7! I also think Far Point looks great. Not really bothered about any other games so far though.
Fucking GameStop man... My order still sits in "Open", no charge on my cc, and it's 1:08 PM, paid for one day shipping and their info blurb says I should receive mine on launch day (tomorrow)!
Starting to lose hope.
Pre-ordered on 3/22/2016
I at least want to see a damn charge on my cc go through!
