Oh, sorry on my behalf as well, but I really haven't noticed your car before - maybe i wasn't paying attention.

I'm not a MB fan, but your E Coupe does look good.

LE: what were you two doing in Porsche's yard, now Porsche will say BMW and MB came in to steal intel.

+1 who cares about cars.

The design of both cars look very similar to me.

How much do you guys pay a month for these company cars?

This is my 2-year old baby:

Not much, but it's one the best looking new Opel (that doesn't have a body kit).
No technical issues so far, soundsystem is ok for me (Opel "premium" sound). Looks a bit high at certain angles but that's purely visual - every now and then the front end rubber protection lip scratches the street (especially when coming off speed bumps).

Too bad it has gathered quite some scratches and 2 small dents from the local parking lots Sad

Plans for the end of august - regular servicing and after that I'll have it polished and permawaxed for the autumn and first half of winter Smile
Perhaps a stage 1 chip in long term and some noise dampening should also come in handy.

Opel has a very nice line-up these last years, I especially like the new Astra. Have fun with your car.

I only like the new Astra if they make a sedan/notchback version of it Very Happy

Also, I don't like the new cockpit design that splits the console in half horizontally. That's why I also don't like new premium German cars. Sexy on the outside, not so nice inside (for my taste) Razz

Do you have a photo of the console split in half? I'm not sure I understand what you mean.

Sure.

Astra J (last gen, or what I have):

This is Astra K aka new one:

And this is BMW for comparison:

The latter two have dashboard split horizontally in two with design features. Touchscreen on the upper part and some things on the bottom part. This also produces a lot of empty and usually ugly dashboard space that's either left empty or filled with some things just to make it feel less empty.

Maybe they are not the best examples, but I like the feel of a jet cockpit in a car.
It most likely won't get much better since the functions and buttons are integrated into touchscreens now.

Blame reviewers, especially Auto Build - they always remarked how cluttered with buttons the dashboards and wheels were in Opel cars.. Laughing

I really, really like the design on those vauxhalls/opels, they look upscale and just classy IMO, but I hate the way they feel when driving, it's like a shoebox full of lead Laughing at least the astra I rented in cz and the insignia a friend had. Not sure if it was latest gen or not, and it's personal preference, but I didn't like.
