luck, christmas present. sometimes they found a "hole" in the protection they can exploit.
don't count on rld for every starforce game anytime soon.
edit: don't get me wrong, there's no group deep in the study of starforce as reloaded is, but they should admit that the old way of cracking a game is useless now and try something different

Haven't looked but it could have just been the basic wrapper, or might have been poorly implemented.
Part of the security is how well the programmers implement the API, if they mess it up completely it can leave holes.

RELOADED know how to crack starforce 3.5 and the newer starforce(3.6) is based on starforce 3.5 so it is only metter of time until POP 3 will be cracked...

even for the same version, there are many ways for a programmer to implement SF3.

SR7 is just an example of what I guess RLD can do.

LOOOL, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory uses SF3.4 and it's not even cracked. Rld is far far from able to crack SF.

Even Hoodlum was able to crack SF7 (grand theft auto: San Andreas)

yep, soon enough, all games will be stored server side, thus unhackable by the masses and require monthly fee. Not really game developers' fault, they are just trying to make a living.

I am sure the publishers will get a few suckers to buy games online or 'rent' them. Hopefully, very few, although I've heard that one is born every 60 seconds or so.

server side software is the future, like it or not. All software publishers will move to that business model because it's the only model safe from p2p/warez (since p2p users always tell software publishers to evolve their business model).

Blizzard? World of Warcraft is totally not warezable. And you need a valid Diablo I, II, StarCraft, Warcraft CD keys to play these games on Battle.Net.
As for RockStar, they only make money on Console.
Looking Glass Studio made System Shock, where are they now? Bankrupted. Has Grim Fandango, Freedom Force, Terra Nova, Seven Kingdoms generated any profit? Nope.

vodka... u may not have a clue of what u're talking about concerning protections. the securom used 6 months ago is way weaker than the one used today.
both reloaded and hoodlum were able to crack securom without problems (rld actually was even the first to crack it, hoodlum followed.). same for safedisc... do u really think reloaded all of a sudden forgot how to crack safedisc? today safedisc -when properly used- is way harder than it was 6 months ago.
as for the digital delivery part... i think games in stores will neve cease to exist, but in a hybrid form: a starforceproactive-like online activation. no need to keep the disc in the drive to play, uncracked till now
