Can you tell me where the benchmark is? I guess I skipped over it in my excitement.

Alright, with a High preset that was modified a bit (better shadows, higher vram, lighting, tessellation, higher FOV), on a i5 4690k and r9 390 at 1920x1080:

So far, in-game performance has been better everywhere except the train station, where my FPS got as low as 50 when looking in a specific direction.
The game used up to 7gb VRAM. CPU usage is pretty high, too.

Eh, that mouse is really throwing me off. And for some reason the mouse speed in the menus is not the same as in game. Have to switch between mouse presets all the time, and have the ingame sensitivity lowered all the way. Neutral

And it feels way to sluggish

@MinderMast
Yep, thanks. Manually copying the files worked. Very Happy
My universal preset doesn't do a great job sadly this time. Sad
Having to wait for some tweaked one.

Though i probably will wait for at least the first patch too:
- Outside the benchmark i get 60 FPS. But that is with several settings reduced quite a bit already.
- I get a bit of pop ins and rarely object/texture flickering too.
- Can't skip intros.
- Mouse axis have different sensitivity settings.
- When you go in cover and leave it again, you always leave crouched. That's annoying if you have to manually stand up all the time.
- Jensens voice acting seems worth than i remember it from the previous game - mainly that he is not so easily understandable sometimes. Is it the same voice actor?

I bet if i kept playing i would find many more things that annoy me.

A shame, that lately more AAA games are rather buggy and have bad performance. Sad

Set Volumetric Lighting and Hard Contact Shadows to "On" instead of "Ultra".

There's no detectable visible difference - and I gained 10-15 FPS Smile

Can also go into the "depotcache" folder in the Steam "SteamApps" folder and see if all the cache files are there, Steam deletes the ones that are fully unpacked so if it has processed some of them then it's unpacking albeit slowly. Smile
(Or you can delete them and force Steam to download the rest of the data directly over the net.)

Yeah, deleted local content and redownloaded, stuck again.

Yet your solution worked like a charm, thx JB

The Ultra settings offer very little visual improvements, at a great performance cost. They only exist for people who want pure graphical quality with no regards for optimization.
People should customize their settings themselves instead of using the presets. Find the best point between quality and performance.
It's not the best port ever (it's far from Sleeping Dogs or Mad Max), but performance is ok. It's an average port. Maybe slightly above-average due to the amount of options we are given.

Better than HR in every way, as a sequel should be I was positively surprised by the facial animations and lipsync. I don't know wtf was happening in their gameplay trailers pre-release.

We must have played different games.
Because for me the lipsync in the beginning was mostly shit.

Seeing how horrible lip sync and facial animations were in the gameplay vids, I am positively surprised. I know that everything is either shit or awesome though, so no biggie.

You have to zoom out after each shot.

Game is amazing btw. Runs locked 60 ,I haven't even tried max settings since the difference is so negligible.

Has anyone tried the Breach game mode? I'm in the tutorial mission and... I'm stuck. Stupidly enough.
The game is telling me to Remote Hack a point. It sounds simple enough: Aim at the point, press E. That's what the tutorial says, it's what the keybindings say.
But it doesn't work. I aim at it, press E, nothing happens. I'm just lost.

2nd time that the game crashes for me during the prague intro cutscene... as soon as shots are fired I get a crash to desktop.

Anyone else having this issue? On top of it, the annoying cutscenes between dubai and prague are not skippable!

edit: apparently we can skip the cutscenes, but we need to go to the menu and select "skip".

Came here to post this. I'm sure EIDOS will send out their PC Strike Team immediately! Ugh.
