Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - Known Issues
Hey everyone! Here is a breakdown of current known issues and information for each of them. We will update this post as we have more details to share.
Performance Issues
If you are experiencing performance issues, here are a few workarounds you can try out for now:
Update your drivers
Turn off MSAA
Turn off Contact Hardening Shadows
Keep Volumetric Lighting to on or off
If you have a 4GB GPU, use settings up to High
Use 1080p resolution
Enable Exclusive Fullscreen
Crash on startup
This issue is currently under investigation.
Crash at the Train Station

Here are workarounds which have worked for some users:

This issue is currently under investigation.
Axis
The game's option menu doesn't display the settings correctly. Players should ignore what they are seeing in the menu and use what they are noticing in-game.
A fix is coming for this issue.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - Breach - Final Reward
We have identified an issue where the final reward for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Breach is awarded to the player indefinitely, once he continues clearing maps after having completed the game.
As a temporary fix, this reward has been replaced. Once the issue is fully fixed, the correct reward will be put back in place. Users who have completed Breach in the meantime will retroactively receive the reward.
We will keep you updated on the status of this full fix.

Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"

What's your VRAM? If you set textures to ultra then textures will be loaded to ram and then unloaded to vram .
PS I kept everything maxed out @1920x1200 (it's noticeably more demanding than 1080p) except for shadows (high) and Contact Hardening Shadows (on). So far it's been steady 60 fps(riva tuner limited) but I haven't got to Prague yet.
There was some stuttering here and there for a second (rare), mostly related to me playing with ultra textures on 4GB gpu.
After setting everything to max except no MSAA, volumetric lighting from "ultra" to "on", and disabling contact hardening shadows, I'm getting around 50-70fps in the city hub area on 2560x1440. Very playable with G-Sync.
Looks like they weren't kidding about the 16GB thing, had to manually increase the size of the page file to stop it from crashing with "low on memory" errors

Wow that's shit, like why would any game use so much memory for no reason...

I have 16GB of RAM, and it crashed, because I had disabled the page file
I need to upgrade to 8GB VRAM and 32GB RAM!

So far this game is like a dream come true. I don't know how they did it but they managed to make it feel even closer to the first Deus Ex than Human Revolution.
Also, the attention to detail you can see in the sub-menus, inventory, items, descriptions. So much love put into this
Well resource hog is the right term for this game indeed.
It's fun..very fun in fact and looks good too(imo) but since people mentioned excessive use of ram, I decided to check it myself. At best when the game was running, I was using 24GB of ram.
Still....no crashes here. Time to get 32GB of ram you guys, it's the future(or the present, whichever way you want to look at it).
Mixed reviews on Steam?
TL;DR version: what is going on here?
Buy or wait?
If you loved the previous Deus Ex and have a midrange PC at the very least, you'll be fine.
If you didn't enjoy the last Deus Ex or have a lowrange PC, avoid it.
Regardless of how good your PC is, don't expect to run the game maxed out. It works well (and looks good) at High settings, but Very High and Ultra both cripple performance.
The game builds quite well on the previous Deus Ex, but the story ends abruptly. Very abruptly.
People still enjoy the game, but it could give blue balls.
I'd buy it if you're a big fan of Deus Ex. I'd wait for deals on the game if you're only casually interested in it.
