The music in this game. I thought HR couldn't be topped, but it seems he did it again.

Finally managed to test the game, so far I can't comment too much on the gameplay (yet), but the sensation as expected is that it's practically a HR Deluxe, which is what my body needed. Razz

I really like the visuals too, considerably less flat compared to its predecessor, technically speaking though it's a bit tricky for me with the performance being far from optimal and mouse controls feeling..no bueno really. Miracle(tm) patch, we need you Laughing
~60fps in the first area (haven't reached Praga yet) are achievable only if I go with the High preset and the combo Temporal AA/Sharpen enabled (one blurs the image to hell and back, the other cleans it up..sort of), using MSAA-only instead gives some troubles on my 970. Enabling Reshade's SMAA is the best trade-off, though the jaggies are still present no matter the settings.

Another thing that I really like is the amount of options to resize the HUD and disable markers/modules/radar (love me some minimal interface), it was the thing that scared me the most when watching all the videos.

I'm trying to think back to HR (and even the abomination that was DX2) and I think this is the first time in the history of Deus Ex that we have levels set in the day

I can only remember Panchaea, but it was very brief, the rest was indeed the typical dim room cyberdark (the golden piss filter did the rest)

Loved that part, somewhat of a homage to the dx globe scene imo.

game runs great(some drops but hardly noticable) for me at 2x msaa and high settings(no DOF or blur though) (i5 6700k oc+280x oc)

Anyone having any issues with the key input responsiveness? It feels weird for me when I'm moving around with WASD, I can't figure it out.

It seems the config is hidden in the Registry, like in the previous game:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos Montreal\Deus Ex: MD

Sadly only graphical settings and keybinds are saved there.
No way to fix the retarded mouse sensitivity. Embarassed

So far so good, it's a HR slightly improved and with a hub that reminds me of City 17.

I'm really annoying by a few things:
-Textures quality
-UI design and its many loadings
-No lean
-No crosshair/ironsights in cover
-Lip sync and facial animations are horrible

You can enable the crosshair ("Reticle") in the Gameplay options menu.

Weird, those 2 things are actually among the ones that have impressed me the most. In fact I didn't expect this level of texture quality in a Deus Ex game, and the UI, I'm simply in love with it Very Happy

What is this crap? Can't play on ultra with new, high end card(1070)? That's not including AA.
Back in my days you could play DE:HR with a year old, mid end card(GTX460) on ultra, with AA

I'm not talking about artistic design, that's awesome, Prague is extremely well done from an artistic point of view. All those monuments, the shops, the activity that brings everything to life, combined with a good level design make Prague probably the best hub in the series. I'm talking about the technical part, which is downgraded severely compared to the bullshots on Steam. Did you take a look at the ground? It seems taken from 2010.

About the UI, it's lacking in artistic value, the colors and style doesn't suit the game all that well. At least in HR was following a better thematic with a strict color scheme. On top of this, the UI is extremely slow, the game loads but the inventory icons don't, you have to go through a slow loading examine menu to check the items description, description that isn't available when shopping.

Really weird, this isn't happening to me at all. Maybe it starts acting up later on?

Now I'm starting to worry

It's not something game breaking, but it's a nuisance.

Personally, the biggest problem I have with the game is the lack of innovation, the first Deus Ex is one of the innovative pillars in this industry, it what made it great and unforgettable throughout the years, that has been lost recently.

Mixed reviews on Steam?
TL;DR version: what is going on here?
Buy or wait?

If you loved the previous Deus Ex and have a midrange PC at the very least, you'll be fine.
If you didn't enjoy the last Deus Ex or have a lowrange PC, avoid it.

Regardless of how good your PC is, don't expect to run the game maxed out. It works well (and looks good) at High settings, but Very High and Ultra both cripple performance.
The game builds quite well on the previous Deus Ex, but the story ends abruptly. Very abruptly.
People still enjoy the game, but it could give blue balls.

I'd buy it if you're a big fan of Deus Ex. I'd wait for deals on the game if you're only casually interested in it.

I just looked at negative reviews on Steam, they are almost all about the presence of an ingame store with shit microtransaction and ... wait WHAT ???????????

Dlcs and preorder bonuses are locked on ONE savegame only !!!!!!!!!!!
Just tell me this isn't true Shocked

If this is true how in the fuck can you people say "This game is great !"

I should have my PCMR Card revoked. Wasn't updated to the latest graphics driver, somehow that fixed the issue with my key presses getting duplicated in-game. Feels perfect now
