Most of the paid content is in form of mission packs and you won't lose much if you don't buy them. The Tokyo/Kaidan DLCs are important and there are only three of them

I'm an all or nothing kind of guy. If i had to subscribe to get it for free then i would, but not even then do you get these packs which has just a few missions each. Fucking greedy. If they won't compromise in their quest for money, then i won't either.

It seems most of the "issues" up to #14 have at one point or another seen a decent discount with #14 having been up to around 50% cheaper so one could pick them up via a sale for less although as there's so many of them and not many are included in the base game it will still be a bit expensive if you plan to get them all.

Just got this email:
Quote: | Data Breach on Funcom Forums
On August 24th, 2016, we discovered that user data associated with forum accounts on TheSecretWorld.com, AgeofConan.com, Anarchy-Online.com and LongestJourney.com have been compromised by a third party.
We regret to inform you that the data breach includes e-mail addresses, user names, and encrypted passwords associated with forum accounts on these forums. Even though passwords were encrypted, these can be cracked and should be considered compromised. It is important to note that forum accounts and game accounts are separate and are stored on different servers using different security systems. Game accounts have not been compromised.
The breach was possible due to a security fault in the vBulletin forum system. This security fault was corrected on our forums on August 19th, 2016, but we are unable to determine exactly when the data breach occurred prior to the fix.
As a temporary security measure, we have reset all passwords for every forum account on TheSecretWorld.com, AgeofConan.com, Anarchy-Online.com and LongestJourney.com. The next time you try to log in you will be told your password is incorrect and you will have to reset your password to continue. If you have used your old forum account password on your Funcom game account or any non-Funcom accounts, you should also change your password on those immediately.
We take this incident very seriously and will be taking measures to ensure it does not happen again. The bug that made this data breach possible has been corrected, but as a precaution we have taken our forums offline so we can conduct further investigations and ensure there are no more security issues before we bring them online again.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. If you wish to talk to us, please get in touch with our customer service representatives via http://help.funcom.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Thank you for your attention.
Best regards,
Funcom |

Even after all this time, companies STILL don't fix these 'bugs' before it happens. Especially vBulletin, which has always been an accident waiting to happen.
sigh.

Honestly, as much as this happens, somebody needs to step up and start holding these cocksucker companies liable.
It's like every multi-million dollar publisher/developer has a security team that consists of a single high-school dropout locked up in a basement somewhere.
I understand that it's impossible to find every exploit before it happens, as is the nature of cyber security, but shit like this, where a well known exploit is outright IGNORED until SOMETHING HAPPENS is inexcusable and downright negligent.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

So that's what they are using conan exiles money for
1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB
2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

This will depend a LOT on what they mean by improvements to combat.
They really have to introduce entirely new animations and a more fluid flow to change the experience at the core.
That said, if they do THAT - then I'll be ecstatic - as I love the game otherwise.

Ooo I was planning to continue to play this anyway since I loved it whenever I played it. I almost got the "complete" pack on Steam a while ago but I read that fewer and fewer people were playing and this game really needs you to team up for quite a lot of stuff I found.

If they genuinely improve the combat system, I'm absolutely coming back.
I also wouldn't say no to small improvements to the graphic engine. Nothing large, not even needed, would simply be a nice bonus for a relaunch.

Story and Quest wise, this sure is at the top.
But yeah, combat didn't feel too fleshed out and the wheel of skills was more looking nice than being actually useful (cookie cutter being cookie cutter).
I really like how Funcom doesn't shy away from changing stuff to make them, hopefully, better.
They did that a lot with AO and AOC.

I loved this game, and played it a lot. Was fun. Combat was shit, and the reason I quit.

Yep.
Only played for a bit. The story wasn't too bad for an MMO. But the combat and generally the gameplay felt too clunky for my taste.
Couldn't keep playing to enjoy the story when everything around it is so bad.

If they can make Combat great that would be tremendous!
Saw a lot of people quitting because of it and I never got into it because of how dreadful it was.

This sounds like some unexpected good news.. if they can make the combat and ridiculous crafting system... I'll be most interested in returning.

I will be returning too, if they fix the combat. And by fix, I really mean change.
The deck building I liked. I tried (and made work in high level PVE content) many things, that part is imho very cool. Even though cookie-cutter decks emerged from day 1. But the combat was too ... braindead.

I would love to see a major change in combat. But I think it would mean remaking a lot of aspects of the game. So I don't count on that.
But hopefully I might be wrong.

They literally said "Major improvements to gameplay including Combat"

Great news, i love the overall atmosphere of the game. And good thing that they will improve the combat... it's quite clunky as it is..

The concept of a 'horror'/'mystery' MMO was pretty cool as well; the execution fall flat on so many levels though. Man, I wanted Anarchy Online 2 so bad, wasn't meant to be.
