I was like 12-14 or some shit back then lol, people didn't take into me fooling around while training etc lol
but after a few warnings I learned my place, atleast for a while
Still too much for my liking. BF4 Premium wasn't worth it for me, so I'll probably just get the base game this time
That's my current plan, I'm currently trying out a South African proxy and it shows up as 600zar, which is about 41 USD, for the base game. Not a bad price.
Edit: Confirmed.
Tax R 30.00
Subtotal R 599.95
Total Price R 629.95
About the same price as from a gray site, but bought directly from EA with the ability to get a refund from them if the game is shit.
Used a proxy to Add to cart, when asked to login disabled proxy. Logged in and paid with this price still offered.
What proxy/VPN did you use? I can't find a proper one.
EDIT: Got it working. 37 Euro paid for the standard edition. Fair price imo.
What is this "Pay $20 extra to play 3 days before everyone else" bullshit? That's a new low.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

It's way too colored to be photorealistic, but does look good. Too bad this engine is wasted on uninspired games.
Indeed.
I was about to mention the desire to see an open world (modern?) RPG using this engine. But Dragon Age Inquisition shuts the monologue even before saying something...
Still... Alborz Mountains from BF3 is a true testament of how absolutely wonderful the vistas can look in this engine.

The engine is awesome and it can create spectacular landscapes (Alborz Mountains is an excellent example). Also, it runs so smooth. But I wouldn't pick Frostbite for a simulator. I like ARMA's engine better for that, the game looks more realistic, despite not being up to date in terms of graphical fidelity.

This can be resolved by SweetFX, hope the anti-cheat system won't ban for using this.
I prefer my games in a vanilla. Maybe because I tend to review what I play and it's important for me to see them in their original form. Also, I'm not sure that SweetFX can actually fix that and doesn't that come with an annoying level of sharpness?
doenst matter, tomorrow only players who registered as insiders till 1-2 weeks ago will be able to play. the next day everyone. and eas server are way better, faster, stable whatever than steams content server

SweetFX doesn't do anything you don't want it to. It has a pretty large library of different shaders and effects, and sharpening is just one of them. It's fully customizable and various color correction/grading functions are part of that.
On the question of anti-cheat: I have been using it in all my games, including multiplayer (BF4, Battlefront, CS:GO, R6:Siege [haven't tried Siege with BattleyEye though]) and didn't have any issues.
That said, I usually steer clear of all kinds of fancy presets many people use as well. I mainly use ReShade for applying color calibration profiles, injecting SMAA and adding some sharpening to counter blurring from downsampling for certain AA modes. Other than that, I prefer to see games as designed.

I remembered so from when I used it a long time ago, but then I see screenshots from Lolozaur every day on Steam and they are full of horrible sharpening so I thought: "nobody can have such bad taste, it must be something he can't change".

Yeah, many people tend to overdo it with the sharpening. I don't get it either - it's like sandpaper for my eyes
Picked it up with a South African VPN. Saved me about $40 CDN on the deluxe version. Don't see getting it any cheaper than that. Premium is another $65 ?! WTF, they're getting nuts with the BF pricing.
