Because it doesnt play like Battlefield, BF 2 , BC 2 , BF 3 , BF 4 all were different games but had that Battlefield formula, this feels exactly like Battlefront wich is jarring, from the menus, to the movemement and feel of your char. It was always improvement from BC 2 to BF 4 it was an amazing improvement in movement and flow.
This feels fucking stupid like battlefront.
Going backwards to a classic era doesnt help it either, it makes it even worse, coming from BF 4 to this feels like going backwards not forwards, even the GFX scream Battlefront , that photgametry bullshit, it feels synthethic, for example the rocky mountains in the map, nothing meshes together.

@Shakabutt Yeah I played one round and I see where you're coming from. It lost "something", I don't know what yet. I played BF4 last week and that just feels better to play. Also they choose pretty bad map to showcase. That alpha map looked much better.
Also, that vignette filter is strong with this one. It takes up 1/3 of the screen. And no way to turn it off. Fuck that.

Sounds bad, I didn't like Battlefront except for the graphics. The overall HUD design and font choice is terrible compared to Battlefield 4 as well. It just doesn't fucking fit.

It feels like a mix between Battlefront and Battlefield. It's a bit weird. Not planning to buy it anymore, cancelled the African preorder.
But it sure is pretty and runs fricking well tho.

+Stunning visuals and sound, runs smooth.
+Weapons have good feedback and hit registration seems to work fine.
-Players are fucking retards, no one ever revived, handed out medpacks, only once did someone give me ammo.
-The Battlefront-esque look of the UI.

Played for like 1h30min, i like it a lot, the graphics are picked off from battlefront but imo better, the map design is good, way better than those desert maps on battlefront, its not like bf4.. i didnt want another bf4, if i wanted that i would just go play that game..
The guns feel great, good hit reg and good feedback as someone already said, this map is also way bigger than anything on battlefront, as someone that gets bored after a few games of battlefront, i didnt feel bored once, it has replayability just like any other bf game, a thing that battlefront ofc lacked, since the maps are so linear and small, with small choke points, this has none of that, i dont know what you ppl are on about when you say it doesnt feel like bf..

It's fun like usual, but it feels as pointless as ever. There's not much playing together, feels like with every new BF it gets worse. So maybe as a dedicated squad/clan I'd enjoy it more.
Don't think I'll play much, so it will end up the same as BF3, beta of 4 that hardline beta and battlefront beta. A half hour fun here or there. Not enough for me to warrant a buy.
It does run well, but I never really experienced shitty performance from them. Gunplay was good although there weren't much guns (that you start of with) that I liked. So I was stuck with a rifle and support role in vehicles. 
The medic class felt useless in such an open map. Spread too thin so by the time I got there they'd be death/respawned nor does anyone request help. Once you get spotted you'll end up death unless you are in that central hub.
Soooooo, if you like BF with WW1 machinery I bet you'll love it. I still think Verdun has the better WW1 game though... but eh two completely different games.
