Afaik no avp3 announced. second one rocked though, i'm considering to reinstall it... I think i almost wrecked my mouse cus my hand was sweating so much...

Second one was good but I think it lost a lot in the translation to the standard FPS engine. The original AVP had a kind of atmosphere and enviorment that was a lot more scary and unpredictable. The sequel was more standard FPS fodder (as good as it was).

Definitely one of the most scariest FPS games ever made, i am quite hopeful for a third instalment. As many recall it was a Sierra/Monolith production who have made FEAR. Those stealth ninjas were eeriily similar to the aliens in AvP2, just with better animation. Im pretty sure 2007/2008 would be the perfect time for it, also the AI would have the Aliens be programed like in STALKER to behave differently every time u played the same area, in one they would use stealth and suprise u with just a few of them and in others just charge at u with 20. dont sound like much comming from me but im pretty sure that Monolith wont let me down. The Predator would be unscripted for the most part and feel more true to its nature, constantly reanalizing his attack based on ur behavior, there is so much here that could make this one of the best franchise ever in this genre.

There wont be AvP3 for PC for a looong time. But you can play or make mods with aliens and preds for other game engines. |
how do you know?
if they decide to make another avp-movie, they ll surely make another game. At least thats what i hope |

No way. We need an engine with the ability to make the aliens truly scary. The first game accomplished this to some degree whilst the second muted them into your average FPS foe. It needs to be a totally new/reworked engine in my opinion.

God no! Not Fear and no Doom3 engines. Fear is not optimized and Doom3 wont render thousands of trees in Predator campaign. The good choice would be CryEngine or CryEngine2.
