4A Games released yesterday a teaser image from its upcoming, unannounced project. This screenshot could be either from a new Metro game or 4A Games’ rumoured space shooter.
Back in August 2014, we informed you about the projects that 4A Games had under production. At that time, 4A Games was working on a brand new Metro game, as well as an unannounced space shooter.
The space shooter game was said to feature a very unusual “design, structure and ideas,” as well as alien landscapes.
In November 2015, we found out that 4A Games’ space shooter was suspended.
Our guess is that the development of this space shooter has been resumed.
Here is hoping that 4A Games will reveal more about its upcoming project in the coming months.
Eh, I'd already be happy if they would change it up between them instead of all studios going after the same thing when something was a hit. Might see in two years all the witcher alikes to be announced.
I'd be up for anything really with 4A Games involved, they're among the few ones who can do scripted shooters right. Though I hope we get a proper game, and not some kind of VR-oriented pew like the rumours were creepily suggesting.
We need more Cold war era games. With spy shit and gadbets, assassinations, miniaturised nuclear bombs, stuff like that

Please don't go spreading ideas like that. We'll get a NOLF game and we'll all be absolutely pissed because it got turned into some run n gun shit show with added DLC that the devs will personally come to your home and fistfuck you with no lube.
I am pretty sure some marketing specialists (read: money-hungry individuals) had already "more money" on their mind when they chose the VR direction...
Last week we revealed the first of two major projects in development at 4A Games – ARKTIKA.1 is a AAA Virtual Reality shooter for Oculus Touch set in a new post-apocalyptic world. It’s a great project for the studio, as VR is a good match for our overall goal of making IMMERSIVE games!
It’s clear that some of you really like the look of ARKTIKA.1, and we’ll talk about that a bit more below – but we also see some of you were… maybe a bit disappointed. Perhaps you prefer traditional PC / console games, and maybe you were hoping we’d announce… something else!
So let me say again – ARKTIKA.1 is one of TWO projects in development right now. It’s not holding the other project up – with our new Malta studio we are a much bigger team, and it is better for us to have multiple projects, for our own independence and creativity. We’re not ready to talk about the other project just yet, but we think you’ll like it. So please be patient!
